$2692.41 since July 14, 2014.

$200 of that was Blu kits, waste of money.

$200 was for the wife - she quit smoking already, but wanted a decent setup with 0mg for occasional use. By occasional, I mean an 18650 in an ipv Mini and the Lemo Drop will last her 2-3 weeks.

Much was failed or crappy hardware (throwaway gear). Some was crap liquids I hated.

I would have spent $2400 on Marlboros, so I call it about break even.

Interestingly, now that hardware purchases have subsided, I spent $36 in the month of february. Next month I've budgeted about $100 in liquid orders as I'm crossing the 1 month supply threshold.

Also interesting - now that I don't use an rda all day, liquid consumption has dropped dramatically - by greater than 50%.

within my own thoughts....
I've only purchased my first setup which is a MVP 2.0, Nautilus mini and an Aspire ET-S. However, i have spent wayyyy too much on coils and out of the 7 i've purchased, 5 of them was dud's! Yes, 5! So i'm done with my local vape shop and it's just not because of the coils. So i would say i've spent more on ejuice than i did my setup at this point, because i tend to chain vape and i'm still in the process of finding an ADV juice that doesn't cost $1 a mL!

So i'm just guessing here, but i'd say i've spent around $200-$250 in just a month's time, but like i said....wasting money on bad coils has been my main problem. Once i learn how to rebuild BVC's and find an ADV at a reasonable price....AND either a provari or eLeaf, i am DONE until one of em expires!

Edit: had to add....i need another Nautilus mini tank and maybe a Kanger Aerotank.....ugh...maybe i'm not done spending! :-/

I'm really impressed by how many of us (like me) appear to be keeping spreadsheets and seem to have our expenses down to the last penny! Especially those of you who have been at it a long time and have apparently maintained your s/s for years.

From the first few NJoy disposables I bought on xmas eve up to the $117.95 in orders I just placed this weekend, my bottom-line costs are now $773.96. That's net of two 30-day money back refunds I got on returned cigalike kits and includes enough ejuice to last quite a while. I hate to say this, but I'm still smoking way too many cigarettes. I'm not, however, giving myself any $ credit (yet) for those pitifully few packs of smokes I haven't bought since New Year's.

I quit smoking and started vaping nearly 5 months ago. It was mostly to save money, even though I was pretty much a casual smoker and am now a casual vaper(er?). I have spent about $175 on vaping so far, I would've spent a bit over $500 if I was still smoking. While I try to pay close close attention to what I would've spent and what I have spent, the fact that I'm not spending anymore on 'smoking accessories (lighter fluid, etc..)' and that there's less 'wear and tear' on my car just to go get a pack (plus it's much cleaner inside!) is like an added benefit!

This thread has been stuck in my mind, and I just had to go thru the receipts I have. Since I do most of my spending at an online vendor store, and only that one store so far, those receipts were easy to add up. I have done some business at local B&M's, two of them only once, and the third one only twice since the 'Vape Effect' has struck me. I don't have any of those receipts, but due to the small number of transactions, I have a real good idea of what I have spent there. Even though I 'rounded up' those local transactions, I can now estimate real accurately not having spent not more $110, not the $175 I approximated before. This makes me very happy! :rickroll:

Well, it is cheap to kill yourself here in the Carib with no tax on analogs @ $2 a pack, very expensive to save yourself with vape gear being double the price of the US.
339 days not smoking, about $3,500 spent in all, not a cheap hobby but priceless one!

IF I still lived in the UK, I'd have still saved $39 thus far. And IF I had bought clones of my collection to date, I could knock off 1k,at least; but I DON"T and I DIDN"T:p:facepalm::p:blink:

A lot in the three weeks since I started:

Two stick batteries and Nautilis Mini's for the wife and I: $140
Kbox and Atlantis for me as the Mini's weren't cutting it, plus battery and charger: $110
Ranger box for me to replace the Kbox I was killing in 5 hours plus extra batteries: $210
Solara DNA and two Silo's for Wife because wanted more airflow: $195
Another Atlantis for wife as Silo not cutting it: $40
    Replacement coils: $40
    Various fluids: $150

So about $895. We were smoking about a pack a day each at $7.50 a pack, so $450 per month. Since we started, I have bought no analogs, my wife probably 1 pack. So we have spent a pretty good amount up front, but realistically, we are set on equipment and should hit breakeven in about 2 months, which doesn't include the intangibles of no smelling like smoke, breathing better, etc. I also see some downstream benefits, as we are going to give our starter gear to a friend of mine that smokes like a beast and a friend of my Dad's who is approaching 65 and has been down to about 5 cigarettes a day, but still hasn't kicked the habit.

I have no idea how much I've spent. I started simple ... Cig-a-like batteries and cartomizers (which I refill), Starter kit cost about $25.00 way back when I started.

I've kept it simple ... no hobby. I've been at it for over three years and can say that batteries are the biggest expense. I get the cheap autos for about $40 for five of them. They last me for months.

Juice is cheap. I spend $7.00 for a 100 ml bottle and it seems to last a long time.

I vape about 3 carts a day at a cost just under $1.00.

That's about it. I vape to avoid analogs. Whatever the cost, to me it's acceptable.
