So far how much +/- did you spent on vaping?

Started vaping Jan 28, quit smoking Jan. 30:

I've spent about $300 so far. $90 of it was wasted on cheap entry level gear that wasn't up to the task of keeping a compulsive smoker from smoking.

The rest was well spent on some Aspire ETS tanks, a Nautilus and an Atlantis. Picked up a couple of 30w iSticks, too. I'm pretty much just buying juice now. And I don't even think about buying cigarettes. Don't really want one and I attribute this all to vaping. Certainly not my willpower, because I have none.

Whenever the guys step out to smoke at work, I can go out there with them and not even want one. They marvel at the clouds produced by the Atlantis and the smell of "Tiger Blood" vapor.

About $3k since 1/01/14 but a majority was purchased the first 3 months. In the past 8 months all I've purchased is a VaporFlask and MutationX. One mech and one VW is all I need although I rarely use my GP anymore. So might pick up a Vaporshark or a new Provari

Nice. It's so nice to quit and not have that craving. I was a pack and a half a day for 23 years and tried everything. Vaping truly saved me.

I just dove back into the ecig game tonight with $160 total in purchases. An Aspire CF VV with Nautilus Mini and an Eleaf iStick 30w Box Mod. With additional tanks and ejuices. But 160$ is about 6 or 7 weeks of analogs for me so no worries here

Very likely thousands of dollars. On one hand it's almost obscene, on the other hand - it kept me from smoking over 8,000 cigarettes. Can't put a price on that.

As I sit here using an empire mod, with 3 others within reach, I must say I am glad I have never kept track.

I do know I haven't spent as much as some, but having been vaping for 3 years it is hard to say.

I started a little over 6 months ago with entry level gear. Managed to upgrade every few weeks to something new - tanks, batteries, etc. My wife told me this was just a new "hobby" but she put up with it. I put together a little spreadsheet last week just to see what I'd spent in 6 months. Turns out I've spent just over $1500 on everything. My ticker below shows how much I would have spent on cigs. I think I'm ahead. When my wife found out it was less than what I would have spent in cartons, she shut up about it being a hobby. In fact, just last weekend, she asked if I had any older equipment I wasn't using and asked me to setup a couple of tanks with menthol and my homemade spearmint for her to try (she still smokes).

On the flip side, I think this is the first week in months that I don't "need" to go out and buy anything. And I'm not waiting for any vapemail. It just seems... weird.

If I hadn't blown $200 on the green smoke cigalike in my first week after quitting smoking, I'd be in the positive now, but I'm still closing that gap. I don't fault the cigalike - it got me off of cigarettes. But if I'd known there were so much better things at so much better prices...

Probably around $800. Well probably more.
Rip trippers in a video I watched said in the first year he spent $25000 on vape gear.
Took me the last 2 months to come up with $200 of stuff I thought would be good to buy.
Short of getting a gold and diamond mod I'd run out of things to buy well short of that.
Buying devices in the say $30 - 250 dollar range think it would take me years and years to use them all.

I've vaping for a little more than a year and I'd estimate that I've spent about $500 on gear and at least $250 on DIY liquid supplies. Compared to over $4K save from not buying cigs... a fair trade!

Ya, just the other day, my wife asked as I'm waiting for more juice thru the mail and having just opened a box full of Aspire Clearos for my sometimes juice, how I'm faring cost wise. I started vaping in Nov 2014 with a starter setup then moved to iStick 20 then 30, and a three Nautilus Minis, and several Aspire Clearos,and a gallon of different juices. Spent a few bucks, but ended the conversation by asking if she would prefer I go back to smoking cigs.

So I guess i am out 1 grand. But the way I look at it, if I was back home smokes would be more than double what they are here in Japan, So, Technically, I guess I am up kinda... And my health is benefiting. See I got in to it... Then in to rebuilding on mods... and at first I was clones. Then I got a taste for Authentics... and then Authentic boxes. Then regulated. So last month. Spent... 150 on various juice... and 107 on my sigelei, RDA clone, was like 10x2...

Man too much. I see things and Im like... oooh shiny... then i buy it.

People forget tho, it isn't just the cost of vaping over smoking when you get into the hobby aspect, it is the money also saved on medical bills, lost work, and stuff like that.
