My wife and I have not spent just over 15 grand on ciggys but I can say that I have spent around 2 grand on gear because of coops and our never ending journey to find the best juices. My spending curve is on a upward swing since I have now began to DIY my own juice and have to get supplies. After 2 years of vaping I know what we like and I'm going to refine what we like into my own juices to suit our needs.

A lot less than Rip Trippers.

Probably around $800. Well probably more.
Rip trippers in a video I watched said in the first year he spent $25000 on vape gear.
Took me the last 2 months to come up with $200 of stuff I thought would be good to buy.
Short of getting a gold and diamond mod I'd run out of things to buy well short of that.
Buying devices in the say $30 - 250 dollar range think it would take me years and years to use them all.

No idea. Don't really care. The smoker's hack is gone. That nagging pain in the bottom of my left lung is gone. I can climb several flights of stairs without stopping to catch my breath. However much I've spent since 2011, it was worth every penny.

I'd be willing to bet it's less money than I would have spent on my PAD habit now that cigarettes are almost seven dollars a pack! (They were $5.00 when I quit.)
And just think how much money we save, not having to pay for COPD scrips!

If I published such a number two things would happen. First, I would shame myself so much that I could never show my face anywhere. Mrs. CMD-KY would see the number and assist me in never showing my face anywhere. After my REO purchase, I am spending far far less. For me, it is the end of the spending journey.

I spent quite a lot so far but keep in mind it's for two people. So far with devices it's been two vision spinners to innokin MVP twos,2 caterpillar RDAs, One plume veil clone one kanger minipro tank 2, 1 Evod mini, One nemesis clone, one King mod clone.

So just in gear so far its been roughly 500 dollars in the last year.

Now as far as Juice goes I can't give you an accurate estimation because until about six months ago I was buying juice from stores, now I make on my own juice so it's a lot cheaper. I probably spent roughly $150 on store-bought juice. And probably around 200 to 300 dollars in DIY juice making stuff. So lets call it an even 500 for juice.

And I've now bought 4 18650 batteries so that's another 50, and a charger so Add about another $15 to that, as well as misc things like wire and cotton.

Lets see went from 5.25 per pack times 1.5 P per day = 7.88 per day cost of smoking. Started vaping in June 2014, had last cigarette in December, after being at 1-5 sticks a day since June.

Currently using about 3-6ml a day, lets use 6 for comparison. Juice averages about $0.70 per ml, so that about 4.2 a day on a heavy vaping. Add to that the $150, total spent on Vaping gear. I'd say I'm saving an easy $2+ per day. Not a big deal, but it does reflect a dinner at Chili's once a month. for the wife and I..

Hardware wise, I did lots of research to determine what I wanted and why. I bought the ego kit with kanger t3 to start. Followed by the mvp2, swapped to vtr so the tank was a bit more 'protected', and have bought 3 mech mods all under $30 each. As far as juice I spent an avg of $35 a month, which just went down because I started doing diy.

In all honesty it took me 4 months to recoup my original spendings at the local b&m. Their prices on kits and juice were unreal but at the time I thought it was a decent deal.

Including that f-up which cost me about $300 I've spent a total of maybe 400 for two people. Which is much better than than the 2000 I would have spent on cigarettes for myself alone

Which next month on the 18th will be our 1 year smoke free. Getting new mechs and drippers. She doesn't know it yet but she's getting a seigeli to replace her almost 7 month old Tesla as well lol.

OK, here is the detailed list ...

Blu kit = $40
Blu carts = $45
eVic = $100
4 IBTanks and 100 cartos = $250
Vendor juice (never did find an ADV) = $400
IPV 50W = $110 (impulse buy at CanCon)
7 Provaris = $1100
7 used authentic Kayfun Lite V2+ = $375
12 AW batteries and Pila charger = $150
4L of 100mg VapersTek nicotine = $450
2 Gallons ea of PG/VG = $110
Flavourings and bottles = $350

Total spent = $3,480

I quit smoking 517 days ago ... during that time, I would have wasted $3,885 and smoked 10,360 cigarettes

so, after 1.5 years smoke free, I have found the perfect vape setups for me ... setups that could very well last many years vaping exactly as they do now.

Plus, I have a $#!& load of eLiquid ... and I'm up $400

So Big Tobacco ... how do you like me now?

Quit analogs and started vaping on January 2, 2015. Starting with the the cig-alikes I started with to the system I have now, I have spent close to $700 on gear (batteries, kits, tanks, coils, juice) and I have enough that I wouldn't need to spend another dime until maybe June or July. On analogs, I would spend over $3,000 a year (yes the taxes on analogs in NY is that high). I figure that I once I get past the start up costs for gear, I can easily save $2,500 a year by vaping.

You're lucky you're not in NY. With the high taxes, they are over $9 a pack. And if you buy in NYC with the additional NYC taxes, they are $12-$13 a pack. This is why many times I would make the one hour round trip drive across the border into PA and buy them by the carton since they were only $62-63 a carton there. I can still remember back when I started smoking at it would cost me $1.25 to pick up a pack at the gas station.

In many decades of smoking I've never had medical bills or lost work due to smoking. So?..

Same here. After over 30 years of smoking, no adverse health issues. The doctor tested my lung capacity and it was in the normal range. The only issue that I do have is slightly elevated cholesterol, which can also be blamed on genetics. The funny thing is my wife, who has been nagging me for some 20 years to quit smoking, has more health problems than I have.
