I don't have any experience with that specific device, but if you only had this issue with this one coil while all the others in those 6 boxes worked flawlessly, I would be inclined to think you got a dud coil.
This happens because liquid is getting into the center of your coil. You can try to absorb some up this liquid by inserting something down into the chimney - like pipe cleaner or rolling up the corner of a small piece of toilet paper.

Meaning = too much liquid on the coil/wick - maybe don't do so many primer puffs
Fix = once it's flooded you probably need to take it out (the coil), wipe away liquid from the chimneys/drip-tip and shake/blow the atomizer head.
Certain designs of coils are more susceptible than others.
Definitely sounds like way too much priming and a couple of drops spaced out to allow time to absorb into the cotton is really all that is needed in my opinion. 15 no power pulls will also likely flood a coil and a question of do you hear it gurgling while doing it? One last thing is the e-Liquid does contain nicotine but you are not only getting nicotine in your mouth but the e-Liquid itself.
