Hi Everyone!
I have vaped now for almost 3 years, and I have gone through the change of life, and still suffer from hot flashes, but most of the time when I vape, it seems to bring on hot flashes! I SWEAT TO DEATH!!! I think it might be the VG because I increased it - I do DIY. WHY would it make me sweat? Allergy?
I only use TFA flavors and Flavour Art RY4 with regular PG and VG. I've read trying a different vendor's PG or VG may be helpful, but when you've bought a GALLON of it, well, I hate to waste it!
I've recently increased the VG and I find it is gentler on atty's! I use the ProTank 2's and LOVE them! The coils don't get as gunked up as they do with more PG. I used to vape at 70PG/30VG but I made a batch of RY4 Flavour Art and I just used WAY too much of it - 6% flavoring, and when it steeped up, it was NASTY!!! I had to cut it. For the heck of it, I thought I would just try adding 2ml of Dulche de Leche and I used VG instead of the PG thinking it might mask the taste of the RY4 better and it did! But, the hot flashes!!!
Again, I LOVE how NICE the VG is on my coils!!! I can go MUCH longer without having to change out my coils now. I was only getting a good ONE day out of each coil with the PG so high. Now I get 3-4! Makes a HUGE difference!!! I think it's because it's even slippery than the PG, and the PG really tends to gunk up the coils regardless of dry burning the .... off.
So, I'm looking for suggestions as to WHY I am getting hot flashes while vaping! Thanks!

That's a nasty one... I had hot flashes for quite awhile after going through the change. Odd things can set them off and it varies for everyone. I had hot flashes that would literally steam up my glasses whenever I cleaned the cat litter box. I'd be really bummed if vaping did it to me.

But if using more PG kept the flashes away, even if I had to plan on dry burning my coils every day, I'd (pardon the expression) suck it up and use more PG for now. You could try adding a little VG once in awhile to see if things have settled down. That eventually happened to me and now I'm back on litter box duty (the husband did it while I was dealing with the flashes). Good luck!

I'm almost 41 and have the same problem; I've been vaping off and on for five years, and been vaping seriously for a year now. I tried changing my VG/PG ratio, but what worked for me was changing my nic level. I had a lot of problems with flashes when I was vaping 24mg, but I dropped it down to 18. I figured that it was because the nicotine was slightly increasing my blood pressure, so I dropped my nic amount, and it seems to help.

I can totally sympathize with you, since it seems that the slightest physical, emotional, environmental, or astrological chart change (lol) triggers a hot flash. :glare:
