When inhaling desert type juice do the calories count for the sweeteners?

ok strange question I know. I started smoking 14 years ago and starts training in the gym seriously about five years ago. I'm a natural bodybuilder and compete. So naturally I wanted to quit and started vaping as its much healthier. I love the desert type juices and flavors so there are food ingredients in these juices and sweeteners. Right now I'm not worried as I'm in the off season and my diet is much less strict as when I'm prepping for a show. My questions is would these ingredients affect my diet? I know it sounds silly as we are inhaling these ingredients and not ingesting them but would the sweeteners and ingredients still have an effect on the calories and my diet? Silly question I know anyone have info on this?

if anything nicotine decreases your appetite. which is not a good thing for bodybuilders i guess but hey that's why we are all here, try to stay away from the analogs ;)
@Lucas Rong maybe not good in the off season but when dieting for shows it's excellent :) nic also speeds up your metabolism as well

I'm not a doctor but correct me if I'm wrong you would have to swallow in order for there to be calories?
At @kbeam418 thats what I was thinking. Also if something as calories or anything like that aren't they forced to put nutritional value on the packaging? But we are still inhaling but I believe the vapor is burnt when we inhale it so I highly doubt anything would happen as far as diet goes but was curious

i've actually seen diabetic patients in my hospital use vaping as a way to "splurge" into sweets as i have yet to see anyone have any negative affects from vaping as a diabetic...weight gain is HIGHLY improbable....btw i'm sure those diabetics DIY their own juice and use sucralose to reduce the risk instead of usual sweeteners in DIY's.

i myself am on a Keto diet nor am i diabetic, however I do keep track of ketones in my urine as best as i can. If my blood sugar spikes then my body would likely stop producing ketones since it no longer needs them. i haven't had any issues due to vaping so far.

My non-expert conclusion: sweeteners don't vaporize well (that's why they gunk coils so fast); and based on an article I just read about inhaling alcohol, calories can be obtained through inhalation but at a very reduced rate.

Conclusion and answer to your question: basically, no

Edit: however! I am suspecting that my own habit of vaping very sweet liquid is negatively impacting my teeth...who knows, for sure, yet?

Let's say you vape 20ml per day. E-liquid is a little heavier than water, so that might be about 25 grams. Even if it were pure sugar (it's not) and even if you ingested 100% of it (you don't) that's what, like 4 calories/gram? So you're looking at 100 calories a day even in the worst possible case (which is not the actual case.)

last I heard.... Ejuice has 12,000 C per puff... guess that equates to 1.6 million C per 18 ml bottle
but than again, the person who told me this also told me you need to drink 2.7 gallons of water per day to keep from getting dehydrated due to vaping... :)

:lol::lol::lol:

............and if Nicotine suppresses one's appetite some of us are in Serious trouble. At 130lbs, I have always had a raging appetite.
Loved all you can eat Food Bars :D
and that was at 1.5-2 PAD:shock:

I read some research regarding diet sodas which suggested that they had a negative impact because the body experienced the taste of sugar, but without the actual calories. The body then craves these missing 'ghost' calories and ramps up appetite accordingly. It's possible this effect could be mirrored with sweet vapes.
As for actual calories consumed through vaping I would say that was negligible.

Shouldn't really matter. Most sweeteners used in juice are artificial sweeteners, not actual sugars. The calories contained would be virtually non-existent, especially since the level in juice would be a small percentage. End result, you'd have to drink the whole bottle of juice to get a couple of calories. A tablespoon of sugar only has about 45 calories, but adding a tablespoon of sugar to a bottle of juice would render it useless for vaping.

Nothing to worry about on any level.

Nice @beckdg ! Thanks guys :) my last competition !
Very nice sexy man. :D

Sorry. The shorts. Had to.

But seriously, very good coming home with a metal. There's fierce competition in body building.

Congratulations.

Looks like you have good symmetry too. Which as you know, goes a long way.

Hope to see you in the big times some day.
