Three questions actually.
1. How do you truly tell when a carto is ready for refill. I'm guessing it's a use and learn thing, but I've only used smokeless image while flavor disappears I am still getting very good vape. Do I wait till vape is gone? Or, just refill once flavor is gone?

2. Can you burn out the cartos if you refill too late? I noticed a little metalic once flavor is gone, but still getting good vapor.

3. For smokeless image cartos that were prefilled to start. How many refills on average before discarding? Four?

Thanks

Topping off?
I've researched refilling cartos........ remove from batt., pull the top off, pull inner silicone, refill, shake, clean with paper towel, store until use.

And..... with a prefilled carto (smokeless image), how many refills?

I am guessing I could find the answers with the right forum searches, so thanks in advance.

How many refills depends on many factors. Juices that are clear, dont contain flavor sediments, and are around 20%VG or less will help make cartos last longer. You should be able to get at least a week if you use them properly. I get about 2-3 weeks avg on one Ressurector carto

Thanks. But I keep reading two things.
1. Juices that are clear and low in VG. My juices are PG from smokeless image and all brown.
2. At least a week? From one carto, 5 cartos? How many refills "PER" carto?

Sorry for my lack of vapor know how, and........... thanks for the help.

Topping off means to remove the white endcap and drip a few drops of your liquid into the batting (avoiding the center channel).

It's really difficult to say exactly how many times you can refill a prefilled cartomizer. You can usually tell it's done when it's difficult to inhale with it. It'll feel clogged up. Some people wash them, but really the best vape is with a clean new cartomizer.

He is talking about the large, almost 2 ml cartomizers that people use with larger 510 devices. When you purchase them empty, you fill them yourself, and they 'can' last that long for some people.

I take it you are using the prefilled cartomizers that came with your Volt?

If you happen to like a flavor of the prefilled cartomizer, you can buy a bottle of juice that flavor and add to the cartomizer.

You are really better off to buy empty cartomizers and a bottle of juice you like and fill them yourself. It's cheaper that way and to me, they taste better and seem to last longer.

Prefilled cartomizers don't seem to last very long at all.

A dead empty cartomizer holds about 25 drops. It's very rare to actually add 25 drops a cartomizer that was either prefilled or already filled previously. Cartomizers are a bit like paint rollers. Even though they seem empty, there's a ton of paint on them.

You can add about 5 drops and I give it a good thermometer shake. If you can see juice sitting on top of the cartomizer that looks a litte slushy, it's full. If not, try to add a few more drops.

This is why it's good to pick up a drip tip next time you order something. Then you won't have to pry that little end cap off to add juice.
