for all the chain vapers...

has anybody found the 'dripping' method more wasteful or less efficient than a cartomizer method of vaping?

I don't see dripping as wasteful so much as inconvenient. I can fill my carto and be good to go for a half hour to 45 min of almost constant vaping. With dripping, you're stopping every couple of minutes to add more juice.

I am totally a chain vaper (6ml daily) & hate carto's (all that filling & filler).

I am Loving the BIG ce2's (3ml) ie :the visions & maxomizers from gotvapes . 2-3 of those going all the time, fill once a day or so ...works great! They might be too easy & they last a long time.

If I have one in my hand I'm vaping ... If I put 'em down for long I lose 'em. I do TRY to put them down more now that I am a year in,works sometimes. I have gone down & up & down on the MG's ...I figure it out someday !!:glare:

I wouldnt call it wasteful.... I DO use more when dripping, but I enjoy the taste and warmth sooo much more than a carto. I figure, I still save money by vaping... if I didnt want to spend any money at all, I'd try to stop vaping too. BUT, I enjoy it and it IS cheaper so I dont worry too much about vaping on a juice hog.

Now efficiency? I dont drip and drive, so when I am away from the house, I have to use cartomizers. :) Someone once told me that dripping was more like smoking to them... the PV was the cig, and the little bottle of nicliquid was the lighter.... :)

Takes too damned long IMO -- that's why I rotate through 3 of my GGTSs with tanks daily constantly. I need to hold something in my hand as I was a chain smoker so having a 6-7 inch tube in my hand is my normal modus operandi, especially when I'm at the drafting table. I am probably 15ml a day -- which is why I DIY........:)

I was PAD until this year, cut it down to 1/2 in Jan, was vaping by April. I smoked lights so started with 12mg...face was burning like this . I used the same strategy as you, since I'm chain vaping, better cut nic. I'm thinking of getting 0 mg to cut my 6mg in half yet, since I'm not tapering either.

It's not just the nic, something else in smokes that hooked me. You have a good point - if we can cut nic down so low and so fast, what are we addicted to? Maybe we're missing something from childhood (Freud would be proud)?

I don't believe it's the nicotine that keeps you smoking as proved by my own starting at 24 and going to 12 and then 0mg of nicotine. It is all the other chemicals and the MAOI inhibitors that keep you addicted and smoking.

Absolutely...and add a heavy dose of psychological dependence. Btw, I hope your NV meetings are indoors. It gets cold in New England half the year! :)

it's not about the money, more about trying to make my juice shipments last as long as possible, esp when i find a favorite flavor, i just don't want to run out of it or let it go.

good answer! i think it's just too much effort to drip imo. when i used to smoke cigs, you pull one out, light it, and game on... so the PV experience for me has to be somewhat comparable in time. pull out the ecig, screw on a cartomizer,.. and vape away.

Smoked analogs 52 years, plan on using my PV for another 50. When I smoked, it was pretty much one after the other. I figured it out once. The number of cigarettes I smoke meant I was only breathing air without smoke about a half our a day, except for whatever hours I slept. Now, I vape pretty much continuously. Spend a good amount of time digging my PV out of whatever furniture I fell asleep on, with it in my hand. At least I'm not burning my azz up anymore. I use big batts & the smallest container I use is 3.5mL's. And, I've got batts, & chargers, & containers, everywhere I go. JMHO

Thanks again WOH.

Cheers,
otrpu
