Guys, guys guys! I just went in the B&M, bought a medium bore Nautilus style drip tip that fits on my subtank nanos!

It vapes just like my Nautilius mini! Perect MTL draws. Please try it before giving up on your sub ohm tanks.

It's just the wide bore drip tips on the sub ohm tanks that make MTL a struggle! One simple fix, for £2.99 and suddenly I don't have to trash my subtank Nano and 5 pack of coils.

Now using subtank nano with .5ohm coils, 28Watts, high 70VG lquids the Nautilus probably would struggle with and it vapes just like a Nautilus mini!

I am sooooooo happy now. Finally I can MTL heavier VG liquids I need to use up in my subtank Nano without throwing them away so saved money there and can have two flavours on the go without needing to buy a 2nd Nautilus, so saved money there too.

Subtank nano .5 ohm coils for less coil friendly liquids and nautilus mini for 50/50. Perfect.

I am finally a happy vaper.

Yes the Sub Tank Mini is very versatile. From tight MTL to moderate clouds all from 1 tank. However the coil that comes pre-installed in the RBA deck did not suit me at all. Too hot. I put a 1.1 ohm 28 ga 2.4 mm Kanthal coil in there and am loving it.
This is what I usually do is reove the too hot stock coil and rebuild with 28 guage 1.1 kanthal works nice 4 me.

I bought a tank recently that came with a .30 ohm and it was just too hot and felt better when I put a 28 guage coil in at .90 or in that area......

It was the X-tank4---10 ml tank but I took apart the coil head .30--0hm--and took the double 22 guage wire that to me was big enough to tow a bull dozer...and hot

enough to fry a hamburger and replaced with a 28 guage .90ohm and it was a lot cooler.......

Good find ---sometimes a simple thing like a smaller drip tip does the job........and makes your vape good.......

Yep. 1.1 ohm, 28ga, 2.4 mm works nice for me in the STM and the Lemo2.

And yes smaller drip tips can make a world of difference. Not sure why the STM has about a 3.5 mm or so air tube and then jumps up to a big drip tip bore

Ever tried the same thing with the T3S?

I like these atomizers T3s----I take my jackknife and insert the tip of the small blade into the air holes on the base and twist the knife back and forth until

the holes are bigger----as the soft brass easily chips away-----and then I take the coil head and cut a slot 180 degrees with my drummel so the slot now looks like

this----> + <----------a cross and this gives me a looser draw that I like........and seems to make the T3s a perfect device.......

I drill out my air holes and the using a dremel or needle file I increase the wick slot to 2mm. Use a 1.5 ohm, 2mm, 30 ga cotton wicked coil. Vapes nice at 8 watts.

I think sometimes that it looks cooler to the eye and to some people it looks like a big wide bore tip means that the sub tank mini--or any other new device probably

puts out a lot of Vapor-----as the young guy was overheard in the vape shop-------"Just look at the big bore on that thing must really chuck those clouds"....good

selling point.......hahahahahahah---a smallish-- 3.5mm tank hole and then a big bore tip does nothing really......

Yeah some of the people in the vape shops just want to up-sell me to whatever throws out the 'biggest clouds bro' Of course it always costs a lot more than I was thinking of spending and the size of 'my cloud bro' is not that important to me anyway. Then some of them are nice, listen to you properly and come up with sometimes simple affordable solutions. I got lucky today.

Right? The very first thing I did when I got my Subtank mini--I put a new drip tip with a smaller bore. :)

I'm pretty much a newbie so I enter this thread with trepidation.

I was a pipe smoker since 1974 to this year; in pipe smoking the thing is about flavour savouring the smoke, getting slower satisfaction etc as compared to cigarette smoking with its instant hit.

I took to the Nautilus Mini pretty much right away once I discovered its wide open draw at full bore especially with Space Jam's Eclipse which is the nearest vaping equivalent to what was my treat tobacco, Peterson's "Sunset Breeze."

However I found the flavour and the satisfaction went up dramatically when I fitted a long stem (drip tip) to my Nautilus - I don't know whether this cooled the vapour, increased the draw or was simply the comfort of the familiar; all I can say was that a long semi bent drip tip as in the pic was to me the best 5 euros I have invested since starting this game.

only one answer: try the Kabuki from HOH....it uses the Nautilus coils...but it's soo much better...
And if you don't want to spend to much , there is a clone out there....but it's untried, so no info if it compares to the original...but the original is very good, all I use anymore, I also came from nauti's and it's a big step up

And another reminder from CASAA:

Last chance to participate in the CASAA E-Cigarette Survey - 2015. We need everyone who hasn't voted to PLEASE take the survey. Your voice counts!

We’ve added a few thousand new CASAA members and we want to make sure we’ve contacted everyone about this opportunity. We’re taking responses to our survey until 12:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, December 12th. After that, we’ll need to focus on preparing the data to present to OMB/OIRA next week.

I've changed tips on most of my tanks to narrow bore acrylic for MTL for nautilus and subtank mini. I don't like metal tips generally I can taste the metal of some of them. A narrow bore tip won't make every tank a decent MTL though. It does help with some :)
