I got lucky and was stationed at Pendleton as well. ill be in oki soon though and that will really be a bunch of piss in my corn flakes lol

Oki is not bad, bro: it has the highest COLA in the world, nice beaches/scenery, access to nice cars (if you're into that), CHEAP Scuba certs and arguably the best diving in the world, and easier/cheaper to travel to nice vaca spots (Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Mainland Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji, etc...you get the point.)
Some things that suck are: you are prone to "island fever", the curfew/drinking policies, typhoon season, and the humidity.
Holla at me if you got any questions or whatevz...good luck.

Currently stationed on my couch. Drill isn't til the middle of next month.

Army Reserve, 42A (admin) with Postal ASI. Duty station is Fort Douglas in salt Lake City, UT. Little over a year left til I hit the IRR - not sure what I'm gonna do when that happens.

War is a drug - been searching for another deployment since I got back from Iraq in 2011, but with the draw-down and stuff, it's not looking promising. Probably the only reason I'd stay in is I like *most* of the people in my unit.

I was in Balad from July to October, rest of the time was at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Was chaotic at the end of September - spotty internet, nothing but MREs, no CRAMs to protect from incoming IDF, running water every 3rd day, PX was almost empty, buddy of mine almost stepped on a UXO, PAX terminal command was beyond a cluster....... trying to get people out...bad times.

I am stationed at [OPSEC] with about [OPSEC] fellow [OPSEC]. My job is [OPSEC] but I really enjoy [OPSEC] [OPSEC] [OPSEC] [OPSEC] [OPSEC] [OPSEC] and [OPSEC] .
