A couple years ago Vapor Renu carried this flavor "re(4)nu" in their tobacco blends. They since have changed the flavoring to a nasty black licorice taste due to their supplier of a needed ingredient Acetyl Methyl Furan, went under/out of business. This might be a long shot but where can I find that former taste? It is the BEST I've tasted. I called Jason at Renu and he said that the only other supplier is in China and they don't do business with them. Damn. Any thoughts?

The description for Acetyl Methyl Furan is:
APPLICATION INFORMATION
Odor Description:A strong, nutty, hay-coumarin odor.
Fragrance Use:For nutty notes in fragrances.
Flavor Use: Used in caramel, chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, meat, tobacco, almond and other nut flavors.

Is there a flavor out there that is similar? Damn this Elusive Flavor Extract
