Next time you are in a Walmart or Target, go to the electronics dept and look at the small camera cases that have belt loop slots! Take your PV with you and make sure it will fit. They will also fit a couple small juice bottles and an extra atty ot two.
Search results for camera case - Walmart

If your husband is like me, he doesn't like things hanging around his neck. Need something to go on a belt.

Something like this.

zoidman.... that looks EXACTLY like what he needs....would an ego fit in that...and where can I get it if it does.... and yeah we tossed around the mag light case just b4 the idea of the camera case came from HzG8trgrl And that's also a good idea dschumske...
Thank you ALL for you're great ideas. He just hates having to hold it while he's grilling...working at the machine shop...etc... having a belt thingie would allow him to just stick it in. (OMG that sounds bad but I guess it is what it is LOL)

Here's another one for you. I was getting tired of accidental misfires in my pocket. I saw some cell phone cases with a belt clip that were the right length, but didn't hold the PV securely. So I took some 1/2 PVC conduit, squared it off and glued three pieces together. It fits snugly inside the holster and is rigid so the buttons don't get depressed. It works great!

Or make a cold molded one - here's how:

Cut leather to 1 inch bigger than you want plus had the flap to close it (lay out itens as you want them to gwet the size)

Soak leather in cold water until saturated.

press in towel so it does not drip.

lay wet leater over items and place weights (books, bricks, whatever as needed to make it mold over the items.

Leave it there until the leater dries - Yeah I know no gear overnight since it is the mold for your holster.

Now sew a flat leather back on it, attach belt clip ot sew a leather loop on (sinew or dental floss works best) attach a snap or other fastener. Vioila custom holster. Yes it works, learned it from a gun collector who makes holsters for a living.

I know we're budget minded here but you could look at molded duty gear. Stuff that police and security wear on their duty belts.
They are made from leather of tough nylon material. Can be soft material or molded hard material like a knife sheath.

I work security and I have a pouch that is made from the ballistic nylon material, will take a helluva beating, and will not crush if sat on or pressed against. Also has a flap to keep it from falling out. Got a Tornado on the way and it should suit the bill for carrying at work. Made to fit a Mini Maglite flashlite.

Many times can be found on ebay used. Most times when looking at descriptions of pouches size has to determined by the item it is designed to carry so there may be a little online researching if you are unfamiliar with different flashlight and equipment models.

This way your man can have a tough macho "guy" option for carrying, which might fit the bill iirc as you guys are outdoors and active alot.
