I've seen pictures of them, but have no idea where to find these things. Mostly, I've seen them in the form of a box mod, but I saw a video with a guy who had a tube mod. They display the volts, watts, resistance, and amps. Some of them have as high as 20 or 30 amp limits. I'm curious where some of these may be available - are there any affordable options?

Nearly EVERY regulated mod (battery holder devices which have a built-in circuit board which can use a variable voltage/wattage function) will have a LED display, and a built-in voltage and ohms meter. These mods will also have protection circuitry built into the circuit board to help prevent a short circuit from damaging the atomizer or mod, which will prevent the mod from firing during such a situation.

A mechanical mod is considered an un-regulated mod, and will not have the above abilities.

Nearly every online vendor or brick-&-mortar vape shop that carries e-cig products sells these devices. Online, check out places like AltSmoke, Discount Vapors, and My Vapor Store among others.
