Began vaping 3 months ago and started with EVO 110 and SmokeTip 180 batts. Going through about 1 1/2 reg carts a day. Began filling my own carts after a month with both 80% to 100% VG and 80% to 100% PG and lowered nic from 18 to 11 and then 8. Soon after noticed I was chain vaping and having breathing problems. Tried just VG juice but did not get better so tried just PG and breathing improved but chain vaping continued. I increased nic back to 11 but did not feel satisfied with my vaping experience and began overeating and gaining weight.

Decided the problem might be the need for a battery with more power so purchased the Elite 808 and XL carts. Carts were okay, would get about 2 fills out of them before they began tasting bad and a month later the batt seems to have less power and one broke. Decided to try the Flux carts and they ended up being a nightmare to fill but once I could get some juice in them and use them, I noticed all breathing problems stopped. I continue to chain vamp when not at work and am going through 3 XL carts a day now.

Figure I am needing a more powerful battery, especially when at home, maybe even a pass through. Have been looking at the eGo 900mah and G4 carts but would like to know if these sound like a good fit for my situation. Feel like I am still missing that strong throat hit and vapor and thinking maybe a stronger battery would solve that problem. Also would like to try to stay with a cart that has no filler but not sure what would fit the eGo. I am still not satisfied with my vaping experience and this is becoming very frustrating.

Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciate as to where I go from here.

The Ego is a great step up and will definitly give you that extra power your looking for. I would get the 1100mah ego. Or you could get the E-power, which has rechargable batts. It seems like your pretty good at figuring out your toppers, so yeah.. I would suggest the ego 1100 mah. Happy Vaping! Cart w/ no filler.. Try the Ego-t.

...the first problems you encountered almost sound like you were not getting the cartos completely filled and possibly vape them down to far...maybe...now that you are over the initial learning curve and realizing you NEED MORE POWER, I make these recommendation to you...goto hoosierecigsupply.com and get the KGO with it's superior batt10-12hr heavy vaping) or the E-Power(both kits are 42bux) which will get 12+hrs vape time and uses a non-proprietary batt(cheaper to replace by 70%+-)... while many swear by them, the clearos and fluxos still seem to need a fair amount of fiddle to get them to work properly...instead I would suggest(from hoosier) getting some low resistance(LR)Boge 2.0 cartos(1ml juice) or some SmokTek 1.7ohm cartos(almost double the Boges)...have Brent at Hoosiers and get him to send a drip tip for the KGO attys and you can try direct dripping as well...good luck and happy hunting!!!!!!

Glad you came with questions instead of having a cig. Good for you. You'll get lots of good ideas from many. Maybe an Ego passthrough and a 510 atomizer would be a fit. With a USB port on the bottom you can vape and charge at the same time. Try an Ego for less than $20. xtremevaping.com has them on sale.

Kgos are great kits with higher voltage and 1100 mAh (long lasting battery). Very nice vape, rivals a 3.7v mod. Http://www.HoosierEcigSupply.com. $42 kit w/ atomizer and 2 batts. Lots of great suppliers on ECF. Hope you find your happy vape spot :)

Congratulations on pushing through your 3 months. I'm glad you got the PG/VG issue figured out so quickly. I'm just wondering why you lowered your nic level so quickly after starting to vape. You didn't mention what your smoking habit was before you started vaping. 8 mg is a pretty low dose even for people who have been working at cutting down for a while. The fact that you started eating makes me think that the vaping experience wasn't all that it could be due to a lack of some better equipment and a higher dosage of nic. Just wanted to say welcome and give you a big pat on the back for sticking with it like you did.

Ego is not more voltage, not a more powerful battery. It is less voltage longer charge battery.

KR808D-1 is 3.7v. Ego is 3.4v. There are some 3.7v big battery devices and mods but Ego is not one. If you want to use KR808D-1 cartos on the big battery and get the same heat then you need something that is 3.7v, even if it's just a plastic box mod. I use the Riva 510 kits from Liberty-Flights.com - they are 3.7v there because his kits are all new stock from the correct manufacturer. I use a 510 to 808 adapter to vape KR8 cartos on it too. If you plain to just use 510 stuff on the big battery then Ego is fine - there are tons of LR cartos/attys for more heat.

Cartos - I can get 7 days out of a KR8 carto vaping moderately. I use juices with 20% or less VG and avoid all juices that drop flavoring sediment (clogs everything, ruins the drag, shortens the life of carto). Try the Bloogplanet or SmokelessImage (KR808D-1) cartos - bottom coil with an easy drag.

Re chain vaping - I just don't let myself. At home I put the ecigs in another room so I am not constantly sucking on the ecig. I only put on next to me if I know I will be stuck away from that room for more than 20 minutes. At work they are next to me but I set them down. I only use manuals so I cannot type and vape anyway. And it doesn't help keep me from vaping as much if I put the carto on the big battery, but what you CAN do with a big battery like Riva or Ego is use LR carto blanks and atomizers to get more heat.

Re manuals - manuals make it easier to get a good hit and are harder to damage or kill with juice leaks. I finally tried an auto - I think it sucks compared to the easy hits I get on manuals. The Vapor4Life current manuals have a 10-13 second cutoff and you can get a nice long drag if you want. I press the button in 1-2 seconds before I start my drag and there is good vapor waiting when I start.

I second madjack and Boodle. The Kgo or E-Power 510 are better options and much better than what you are currently using:

e-Power

I'm guessing that the Riva UNC is their answer to the Kgo. Has anyone tried one? Although I am not a big fan of proprietary batteries it will be interesting to see how this model does:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva UNC

(it might be a big hit with University of North Carolina grads)
