What's the deal. I am not seeing hardly any chatter about atomizers, for a while. It seems like only a month or so ago, there was a lot of threads concerning atomizers on how to clean, which are the best, etc.

Now all there is are cartomizers, tanks(lots of different ones) and other stuff.

Have we quit using them with carts, except for dripping of course?

I dripped for awhile, but like you know I work and drive and stuff, and carts are just so much more convenient in my opinion...I spend maybe 5 mins filling up 4 or 5 and I'm good for a few days...They're cheaper too and I sense virtually no real difference between them...I know some people live true to the atty cause, but I swear by carts now

There just haven't been any new attys lately. New cartos come out every other week... or at least supposedly new revisions of existing cartos come out every other week and supposedly new designs sprout every couple of months. - Even though I use cartos a lot now, I still have a lot of love for my 2.0 ohm and 2.4 ohm 510 attys and my 1.7 ohm and 2.0 ohm 306's on 3.7v.

I'm still using regular old LR atty's, both 510's and 901's (w/adapter) on my mods. I've got the rhythm down and I don't have problems with them so there isn't much to talk about. I've got bunches of carto's but only use them when I have to. I really don't like them much. I did get a pack of dual coil carto's about 2 weeks ago but haven't even opened the box yet. I'm just not enthused enough to bother. I'll be doing some commuting this fall so I'll use them then. Until then I'm happily dripping on my atty's.

yep, not many new attys hit the market, and even the ones that do, turn out to be nothing special. "Wide Bridge" smoktech was nothing new really, neither were the mailstroms. Attys still alive and kicking on bottomfeeders though, but the hassle of dripping or using cartridges on other types of mods are just not worth it compared to the performance of dual coil cartos. Iken has some new american made 801s with 510 thread im lookin forward to trying out though.

I have a mega 510 kit that is fairly new I am using one atty and I have two that are still unopened. I also bought cartos for the kit. When those three atty's die I won't be buying anymore. Cartos are more cost efficient and hold more juice. I also have a GoGo that only comes with cartos and they hold 3 ml of juice which vapes a long time before you have to refill. I'll never go back to carts and atty's it's too much time and trouble.

I've only tried the two smoktech attys that came with my e-power, but neither seem to wick as well as my Joye attys. I got to looking very close at the 'nest' the top of the atty makes in the poly and I think the smoktech may by just a hair shorter than the joyes.

I may try those also. Thanks for posting.

I started with cartomizers and still find them the best for active times in the day. Their capacity vs cartridges made them more convenient since I only need two for a day. But at home at night, looking for a little variety led me to dripping flavors on an atty and they are still king for a pure vape and quick flavor changes. It's so easy to change your mind, pop the drip tip and get a whole new flavor in a couple drops. I think a cartomizer technology with it's low maintenance, simplicity and profit potential are going to be mainstream and in 7-11, but attys will always be out there for those times you can hang out and taste one or many unadulterated flavors.

In a couple years, attys might be a cult secret of the early adoptees. We'll be telling our granddchildren stories of the days BC (Before Cartomizers) and their eyes will get big as saucers in wonder.

Seriously, I am a little concerned that atty innovation will slow down and variety could possibly shrink as production slows with cartomizer dominance. All these new carto varieties are starting to look familiar (see picture), but the market seems to want them due to boredom or the need for the newest gadget.

I think battery+atty+juice is great, cartos are a useful option and everything else is fluff. But then I saw the GLV tank option and...

The trouble with dripping is you get a few hits then a burnt taste so you add a few drops for a few more hits then a burnt taste again . I don't see the logic in that . As for cartridges I got a ego mega cylinder style . It starts out ok but then wicking issues when it is half empty . Carto are designed better .

It takes a minute to get used to, but I rarely get a burning taste. I can effectively tell when it's time to drip again just from the flavor I get when it's almost there. At first yes, you might get more of those burning hits, but this is also why I take a dry hit before inhaling, to test the waters, so to speak.

I rarely get a burned flavor when dripping. I drip 3 drops and get 10 to 12 hits from them. When the flavor starts changing ever so slightly it's time to drip again. It takes all of 3 seconds to drip so it's not like I'm spending my day dripping and the flavor is much better than any carto I've ever tried. But, to each their own. That's why there's lots of options available.

why drip when you can have something drip for you? obviously the tech will get better and better as tank systems figure more things out but yeah, i think its great with all the new stuff. but direct drip does have a certain flavor that stiill can't quite be automated, but i think its just a matter of time..
