This place used to be very active, jumpin almost. Where did everybody go?
It makes me a little sad how SI has changed since I started ordering from them. The Volt and Menthol Burst were the most important factors in helping me to quit analogs nearly 3 years ago.
The customer service used to be the best. Problems were rare and when they did occur, they were fixed immediately. The last straw for me was when the tracking said my delivery had arrived, but it really didn't. I reached out to SI and I was told (paraphrasing) that since the tracking said it was delivered, it was between me and the post office. They essentially washed their hands of me . . . and I have done the same.
I haven't ordered from SI for about 6 months and I consider that a big deal because their Menthol Burst is, hands down, the best e-liquid I have ever used, or will ever use. The only thing I love more than Menthol Burst is my family. I would commit multiple felonies to have Menthol Burst again. I've learned to do without.![]()
I've been off the nasty analogs for over a year now, so the "honeymoon" has kind of worn off. I was here every single day for awhile reading and learning. Through various reviews of cig-a-likes I found SI. They were very highly rated...and I'm so glad I chose them.
My husband and I use the Volt X2 and the RY4 liquid exclusively. We decided to go to a B&M last weekend just to check it out. None of their tobacco flavors even came close and some were just downright disgusting. Plus, the salesman...well....just wasn't a great salesman. I know this doesn't represent B&Ms across-the-board, but my experience with SI has been nothing but excellent.
I'm not one of those that experiment much, though, with all the new stuff. Once I find something I like, I stick with it. And I like my e-cig combo and I like SI. They really do have excellent customer service. Plus, I tend to buy somewhat "in bulk" to avoid any stress of running out of supplies.
I've also referred several friends to them. Can't really fault them for "growing pains"...of their own and/or of others.
Just my.

Are we related?
I feel/do the exact the exact same way! I love Smokeless Image. I have been tempted in the past by other products but can't bring myself to 'cheat' on SI! I have been a completely loyal customer for 14 months and see no reason to change that now. Especially because they have the MVP and iClear 16's now! I can't wait till I do this job coming up so I can get paid and order my big bundle... Gotta get my new batts And backup batts! I am soo excited! Its worse than a kid at Christmas!
I'm sorry Scurry, but you really are "cutting off your nose to spite your face"! What SI told you about your shipping woes was 100% correct, and completely out of their hands: USPS has its issues, and tracking/delivery mismatches are among the most prevalent. Packages also get stolen after delivery, particularly in "shared mail area" situations. There is nothing any vendor (not Amazon, not SI, etc.) can do about it.
So, if you really love Menthol Burst that much, ORDER SOME MORE!No felonies required.
BTW, did you eventually receive that one late/stolen package?
While thats all true, I've been an online seller since the late 90s, and I can tell you for a fact that it is the merchant who is considered to be at fault if an item is not delivered to the customer. It is the Sellers responsibility to get the package to the buyer. Amazon, Ebay and the Merchant account of the seller will all side with the buyer. If a chargeback is initiated and the seller did not get a signature from the buyer, the merchant account will side with the buyer and debit the merchant the original cost of the order plus a hefty fee. Amazon and ebay also will side with the buyer if there is no signature.
Delivery confirmation or regular USPS or FedEx tracking is meaningless without a signature.
Is it fair to the merchant? No, but that's part of the cost of doing business online these days.
SI should have offered a replacement.
Wow. Thanks for the info, Esoterica -- I did not know that!![]()
