Hi, FAUXPUFF here, sober date 08/11/1998.
I got sober the day before I died!
Thought I would finally join this subforum...
Howdy everyone!
I'm sure it's not just me, but one day I was filling a cart with a huge syringe and said "HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY what am I doin?"
You all get my drift.
vaping now over two years, kind of proud of that too.
Mr. Jaguar, I know what you mean!
Thank God we can recover from our sober transgressions.
As long as we don't take that first drink!
Anyway, I'm off to bed (12:12 Chicago time)
See you all tomorrow!
:)

Hi Guys:)

Glad to finally meet someone here.

I have heard so many people say it was twice as hard to give up cigs than the booze. Many quit trying because they were afraid they would go back out again. I was one such person. I have been sober for 21 years on May 7th.
Well there were a few years here and there that I was just dry shall we say. Glad to see some people coming back. I have to admit I very seldom go to meetings anymore (BAD)
My husband died of this disease at the age of 38. I think that has a lot to do with me staying sober, plus my 3 kids. Thankfully they are not drinkers or drug users. How they got away with that I will never know, but I thank God for it.
Both my parents and my husbands parents were alcoholics and so were both sets of grandparents. Skipped a generation. Hope it keeps skipping.
Stay well and come back again. :)

Hey all ! I've not posted here in awhile also. Sober for twenty-six years and feel extremely grateful! I've been a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor for twenty-four years and it is a priviledge to work with others. The e-cig has also been a complete blessing for me and I pray daily that it will survive the current attacks. I try and not think of what I will do if they actually ban it - but, as they say, "One Day at a Time" and today it is not banned and I'm happily vaping my KR808 XL getting ready to go home from work. One of my favorite lines in the Big Book remains to this day: "True ingorance is contempt prior to investigation."

I just joined this group, but I see no one has been here for quite awhile.
What happened??????

Hi suddenly, I just found this group this week and wondered the same thing. I started checking in every day and posting on it as often as I can. I'm hoping there are some people out there that subscribe to the group and will see some activity on it and start coming back. Maybe its like meetings, sometimes out rooms are packed and other times there are just a few of us there. Glad your here.
