I have been lurking around the forum for about a week now and decided to join. I bout my first e-cig about a week ago. It was a pure smoke starter kit. I really enjoyed if for about the first half a day. Then the taste became bad and my throat was very dry and followed with a headache later that day. I thought it was just because I wasn't used to it. But then I found some info on vg and pg juice. So from my reading I believe this was a pg and I might be allergic to it. And also found some info on a Joye 510, and I am looking to buy one. I have been tru many sites and many coupon codes. But I'm not sure on which sites carry genuine Joye products. So I am looking for a starter kit, preferably with 2 batts and 2 as I have read that they don't stay charged very long. I am also looking for the best deal. So if you know of a place to buy them with a good deal or coupon code please let me know. All responses are greatly appreciated.

You can get genuine Joye from Cignot ® or E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings or a number of other places. The 510 minis will look like your current mini e-cig, but will not last very long. You can also look at Riva 510s and Joy eGos, cigar sized though.

Keep in mind, the typical e-cig kit comes with little juice and hardly any pre-filled cartomizers. You may have to shop for those. I heard Vapor4Life offer a vast variety, but have not tried. The cheapest way is to refill the carts/cartomizers with juice bought separately.

Edit: Remember to clik "20% off" on top of page if you shop at Liberty Flights.

Check Liberty-Flights.com (first press the 20% off upper left front page, then look at the prices)

or LiteCigUSA.net

I strongly recommend manual batteries - totally sealed threaded end, as safe as possible from being damaged or killed by juice leaks, easier to get a good hit, won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration

And ANYTHING is going to taste bad if you don't keep the stuffing damp with eliquid. Also - even though Joye 510 is a 3-piece, most people prefer to use it as a 2-piece with blank cartomizers for their favorite juices. You use standard resistance cartos (not LR) on slim ecigs and Boge are most popular and simplest for 510. I use thin juices with them (20% VG or less).

100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping
Joye 510 battery is 180mah
Joye 510 mega xl is 280mah (I use these manuals at home and would use the mega manuals all the time except I have I nice roomy PCC from NoSmokeVA.com for the normal short 510 batteries)

Also - nothing tastes good forever

Atomizer+cart - atomizers need cleaning and occasional replacement, carts need new stuffing and cleaning

cartomizer - these are disposable - keep one damp and it may work well over 1 week. if you don't keep it damp it will singe and taste bad. Some try to clean and dry them (with mixed results)

batteries - expect about 150-200 recharges max out of each

I got my Joye ego from Liberty Flight. Got my joye 510 from Rocky Mountain Vapors. I'd go with the ego or Riva from LF. Both are excellent.

In my opinion all prefilled cartos taste harsh and nasty I don't care what flavor or strength they are. So you may not have an allergy, it may just be the nasty prefilled cartos. Definitely get juice from a juice vendor.

Also I just took a pic of my Riva setup with something to compare it to, it's not *that* much larger than a cig sized device, didn't have any quarters or change, so I used a soda tab.

Gorgeous isn't it

Don't order too quick! Cignot also has samples juices if you want to try some, 5 ml for $3, see if you find anything you like. If you get order to $60, free shipping. Once you find some juice favorites, you can also get it from elsewhere in larger quantities. Vicki is the proprietor, communication/service best on the net, imo, though her prices aren't always great. :)

Edit: Vicki ships extra fast, so email her right away if you want to change the order. You'll hear back in minutes, usually.

...two further thoughts...vaping dehydrates you...it's function of the method/device, DRINK LOTSSA WATER, it will help out with that dry throat, etc...virtually all of us have made the mistake of looking for a juice that resemble X brand of ciggies when we first started...just ain't gonna happen, to imitate the taste of burning leaves and other funk, you havvta burn leaves and other funk...you can get juices that taste like tobacco smells...I don't do menthol so, I can't help with specific recommendations.............

She was great! I ordered before you posted this. I was eger to order my first ecig. I emailed her, and she replied very quickly and replied to every email quickly, there was about 20 messages sent between the two of us. She changed my order for me no problems. I will not hesitate to order from her again. Amazing customer service!!! And very helpful too. Can't wait to get it.
