I've thought about this for awhile now (a few years actually) and just read a thread in New Members about a vaper loosing all their batteries underwater during some house flooding.

I can buy a cellphone that works underwater and can survive some severe shocks. There are milspec cases for everything from digital cameras to laptops. Who is going to produce the first drop proof, water proof, ran over in a parking lot proof APV? Come on Provape... Here is your shot to pull ahead of the Chinese again. (Signed: A vamo owner!)

One of those Mech-Mods could easily be tempered to Mil-Std I guess.
And I liked ur tinkle to Pro-something!

Waterproof also means gas proof, so that's bad to go. Mech mods and batteries without a protection circuit can be cleaned and dried. A good mech mod will be shock/drop resistant. Lastly, those among us that work on things in the military know the irony of "MIL-SPEC". ;)

I DID say "MIL-SPEC"... not "SUPERMAN-SPEC" :D

The gas issue is easy. One-way safety blow out valve. I built low pressure systems that use saran wrap for just this purpose. Strong enough to keep moisture and dust out, weak enough that a high pressure failure has no problem surpassing it, kind of like the old trick of tying a condom over the dangerous end of a firearm.

You're trying to accomodate non-vaper-conditions with a PV? Any PV depend on airflow, in and out, not to mention the need for battery compartment venting. Anywhere air can leak, water can leak. Anywhere air can flow, water can flow. The best you're going to find is a mechanical mod, but even then, if it's fully submerged, your atty/carto is soaked/screwed.

I've taken my PVs down the river, tubin', in the Smokey mountains numerous times. I keep it in a waterproof box. When there's a calm section, I pull it out and vape like a boss.

Even without being waterproof, Provape is still ahead of the Chinese. No, they don't have a fancy screen, and you can't hook it up to your computer, but they are far ahead. The electronics on the Provape is MIL spec. They could add a gasket to the battery end, and a waterproof button, but to have a water proof connection where the carto, or RBA screws on would be very difficult.
