Hey everyone,
I have been looking for the pilot everywhere and i can not seem to find it. is it out of stock/production? all i seem to find on the puresmoker.com site is the prodigy v1 models, the USBpass adaptors, some spare parts and stuff. But. nothing for complete kits. I really want to order one and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my situation.
Thanks.

In the future, you may want to try someplace like ruyandirect:

Starter Kit - Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop

Ships from China and is a little cheaper. Either way the odds of you having a problem ordering from the UK or China are small at this point. My advice would be to order from ruyandirect and pair it up with some extra atomizers and juice to make the $8 to $12 shipping worth it.

Just going off the top of my head I can't find a US based retailer that has a M401/402 in stock.

I actually held off posting links, seeing as this is Steve's board, and don't want to spout retailers, but I absolutely love the M401s...Grrr..Steve if this in any way bothers you then please delete my thread.
Anyway here goes:
itecigusa: Shawn has a very good rep on the boards, and a full stock of M401s, as well as my favorite penstyle the M201. He also has a new M801, which is supposedly a "newer" M401, but I'm not sure if its made by the same manufacturer as the M401.
Other retailers include midwestvapor, My Freedom Smokes, and Innovapor. Innovapor actually carries the EVO which is a re-branded M401. All of these suppliers can be found on ECF supplier forums/subforum

... I have ... :p

Hahaha! Okay well, how does it vape? I know you said the 801 was optimal. What's the dropoff in performance. Seems like the big ole prodigy would just melt the itty bitty atty.

I have a few pilot attys, so I was thinking of getting an adapter. Just wondering if it would be worth the money or should I just keep buying the 801's. Thanks.

haha ... if you enjoy dipping, you may like the 401. You are talking about quick, bursts, of power .... I don't like it, but I really don't like a 901 either. Yet, some people seem to like the 901 over the 801 ... so, who cares what i think :D

CaSH, how would you characterize the difference in the vaping experience when using a 401 or 510 adapter vs. your usual 801?

510/401 = not even a comparison ... 510 blows it away and then some. 401 is good for those that like an external wire mesh to dip ... Cartridges will be used up in a matter of seconds .... So you will CONSTANTLY be having to play with it :) But, dipper don't seem to mind, so ehhh ... what do i know!

Oops. Sorry I wasn't more clear: I guess what I am really curious about is: how does the 510 compare to the 801?

I do.....:D Thanks for the info. I think I'll just save my money for more 801 attys.

Steve's waiting to catch up on PD/PTs before releasing, or even pre-selling the Protege.
I don't believe that he's released the details on how the presale is going to go down, but from the looks of the poll, we're probably looking at a 1-2 week presale before release.
Specs/Pics can be found on its own thread on this forum.
A brief rundown of detals:
Runs on 3.7 800-900mah 14500 batts
About the same size as a penstyle
Uses same adapters as the PS USB PT.
and (hopefully) a sub-100 price point.

I believe CaSH has guaranteed the Protege will sell for under $100 (and he thinks maybe $60-70 for the Protege Base Kit).
