Ive been browsing everything I can find on vaping, and it seems that for a newbie it would be best to start with something like a battery with a tank and atomiser. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention brands on here so until I hear otherwise I'll just say that the top rated US supplier ending in fi sounds like it would be the place to go to get started?

I was looking to start with the vaporfi pro starter kit, but unfortunately there are no outlets locally. I just got back from a month in the UK for Christmas and should have looked into it whilst there.
That vaporfi kit is available in many vape stores for $25. It's more or less a rebranded eGo style battery and a 7 dollar Kanger, Smok or Aspire tank.

Hi mate,
NO VAPORFI. please.

Consider the Endura T18. It is HALF the cost of the V-fi "clobber".

Whack your location in your profile, that will help people to help you if they know whereabouts youre from

Oh OK thanks for that tip. Also what is wrong with vaporfi, it gets good write ups in the UK?
I suspect they create most of their own write ups. Overpriced gear which is rebranded from another maker. I left some shopping links in the other thread, you can compare what you're getting in value.

Be Happy! :)

Do NOT believe the hype. The shop ending in "Fi" is not good (although they sell some perfectly acceptable e-cigs) but the prices are crazy. You have dodged a $$ bullet.
I don't think they do any business at all in the UK. GOOD.

@Merlin, you are not going to be able to order online and have your product clear through your customs. Every member we see (from Singapore) that orders online, reports getting a letter from customs that their package was forwarded to HSA for disposal.:(

Hopefully, you know of a local "black market" source.

There is a "social" sub-forum here for SG members. They will not share sources openly but over time (once they get to know you) they may be willing to help you with local sourcing. SG Vapers. Make sure you read all the "stickies" as there are special rules you must follow when posting (in the SG forum) due to the sensitivity of vaping in SG.

You won't be able to ask where to buy hardware/juice in SG as your government monitors/reads ECF forum posts. It's all explained here => Newbies Q&A Thread. [PLEASE READ]

I am from the UK but working in Singapore. I've just discovered that the government has banned e cigs. I'm retiring in the next 6 months back to UK Scotland. Thank goodness they are more forward thinking and open minded about helping people to quit smoking than my current location.
If my doctor in the UK recommended e cigs for the sake of my health then surely the local authorities should take that into account?
I guess that I'm going to have to put up with ruining my health for another 6 months until I get home to Scotland and sanity!

Well, it's not illegal here, but soon there will be some stricter controls. No tanks over 2ml. No liquid over 20mg. No liquid without paying to jump through certain hoops.
Most small e-liquid makers will pack it in. Potentially, most of the products we use will be banned. If the question of what constitutes 'leak free' and 'consistent dose' is applied by the UK government, then all that'll be left will be tobacco company single-use products, and I'm not vaping them. Vype and E-Lites have proved time upon time they aren't interested in decent e-cigs, just making as much money as possible from unsuspecting people.

Anyway... you avoided VaporFi, that is something to be pleased about. :)

@djsvapour any word on ordering products from overseas and them being able to clear UK customs (i.e. Fasttech)?
No I didn't avoid them, I'm now expecting a letter from Customs telling me I've just wasted a couple of hundred dollars!
I'm not happy !!!
Fingers crossed. If you get a letter just ignore it. You won't get your product but you won't be fined for a 1st time offense. At least that is what I have read.
