Where to buy coil and wick?

What is the best place to buy these things? Would any nichrome wire work if it is the right gauge? I've seen nicrome wires very cheap on amazon and I was wondering if they would work with rebuilding attys.

I believe ebay is a good place to look. I bought 100ft of a1 kanthal for less than $10 shipped. I'm pretty sure the wire you are specifying would be sold there as well.

Edit:

Use 30 or 32AWG Kanthal A-1 for a VV/VW like a Vamo or a Provari
Use 28 or 30AWG Kanthal A-1 for a Mechanical mod

For Nichrome you can go into fatter wires and have similar resistance but it stretches more with heat and from my experience pops easier.

Temco also sells on ebay but is cheaper when buying direct. Made in USA too if that is important to you.

I found Temco while searching ebay for wire. I now get all my wire there. I also search ebay for mesh.

What exactly is the mesh for? And can I get a big spool of fiberglass wick too? This looks like what I need. I don't exactly need 1000ft of the stuff.
