Where can I buy PGA? (Pure grain alcohol). Can this be bought at any ABC store or what?

you can find pga at any liquor store (provided you meet your states age requirement).
pga is pure grain alchohol, which is vodka, everclear-(though this is banned in many states, including mine. So don't tell anyone I have a full bottle D"OH!!!
and I guess bacardi with it's high alchohol content "151" is acceptable for mixing.

could have woke up married and blind l.o.l, but in all seriousness ther is a reason they ban alchohol at that high of a proof. Too many kids end up blind or dying of alchohol shock.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not condoning big brother baby sitting us. But banning it has made it harder for kids to get it by sending someone in the store to grab a bottle. Those of us that really want or need it can still find it .
You wont go blind from drinking everclear. Yes that stuff could for sure kill you if taking in large amounts. As with pretty much any hard alcohol. Your just going to need less of the higher proof stuff. Blindness by alcohol is caused when it is not distilled correctly. This was pretty common back in prohibition days because it was not regulated. What causes the destruction of the optic nerve is methyl alcohol. You will not find methyl alcohol in Everclear.

Also how much would I add to a 15ml bottle of juice for maximum hardcore throat hit without screwing up the flavor of the juice? Thanks in advance everybody.

The highest percentage i have seen in a DiY recipe is 20% PGA. Yeah Everclear is PGA golden grain is PGA too. PGA= Pure Grain Alcohol. Everclear is easyer to find in most places but you could use Golden Grain too. They are both 95% alcohol which the alcohol is what gives the throat hit.
I would start out with something low like maybe 5% then test to see if it has made a difference. 5% of 15ml is 0.75ml. You can also use pepper extract to get a throat hit if the Everclear doesn't do it for you.

You are correct in that it is the methyl alcohol does the blinding. But I remember getting pretty fuzzy back in my drinking days from just the 151, Guess I was just drunk though l.o.l.
The sad part is that glaucoma has nearly destroyed most of my optic nerves and I didn't even have any fun losing them

Good question, I was wondering the same. Thanks all for the useful info. Have you ever added PGA to a weak premix juice you have purchased to increase TH? Do the "store bought" juices use PGA (most don't list it) or is it mainly the DIY community??
Really it is used for more then just throat hit. Dissolving ethyl maltol, menthol crystals and cutting oil based flavors so they will mix. Vendors couldn't sell it really not without having a liquor license. Might be trouble adding it to juices without one either. I am sure some vendors might use it but not really for throat hit just to dissolve or cut so it would be a very small amount.
Thanks Java and good points, I did not even think about the liquor license thing. I understand the chemistry very well and have done some research on DIY liquid. DIY seems to be the most cost efficient way if you are vaping ~90ml/week. About ready to make the jump, thanks for the info and quick response
Thanks markfm. Would the 151 work in a pinch??? Where in CNY, I grew up in Utica and now live near Saratoga
