Vaping is all about what works for each individual. We can give advice, and share what works for us, but, at the end of the day, it is all about what works for each person, with the equipment that they are using.
My daughter and I started out with Blu almost 5 years ago. We got whatever Blu cartridges were available at our local Walgreen's, in whatever nic strength they had. When we got tired of the inconsistency of the Blu cartridges (right around when they sold out to Lorillard), we went with a different cigalike system that had cartridges that we could refill, and settled on 18 mg nicotine eliquids. When we graduated to Evods, I eventually went down to 12 nic, my daughter stayed with 18. Last Christmas, we upgraded again - I got her an Itaste VV 3, she and her boyfriend got me a CoolFire 4. We kept using the Evod Glass tanks. I went down to 6 nic, she stayed at 18. When her VV3 started acting up last month, I got her an early Christmas present of a Provari 2.5 starter kit. She has recently decided to go down to 12 nic. I am still at 6, and do not plan to go lower, nor do either of us, at this point, plan to sub-ohm.
If the OP is more comfortable with higher nicotine, with the equipment that they are currently using, who are we to judge? I have seen several posters here on ECF and on other vaping websites who are comfortable sub-ohming at higher nicotine levels. If it is working for those individuals, and they are successful in keeping away from cigarettes, then more power to them.
The more factual information that we can supply, especially to new vapers, the better. We need to stick with the facts, though, and try not to be judgmental. What works for one person may or may not work for another, and we need to take that into account. Personal experience is fine. Bashing someone because they do not vape the way we do is not.
I have gotten much good advice from ECF members, and every step up that my daughter and I have taken is due to the friendly advice and recommendations of ECF members.
