Where to start

Ok I give up on buying e-liquid. Everything I try is worse then the last. I started with a b&m red apple and orange cream. I have tried dozens of other venders and nothing is as good. He mixes his own and it's $7.50 for 10 mills I know it's not that complex and must be pretty easy to make, and save me tonnes of cash. So what supplies do I need to start I vape 3 or 0 mg nic and I think his mix is 50-50. Any suggestions and places to buy from?
