I am ready to start getting into re building my own coils I first have a few questions I'm sure you fine folks can help me with. I am looking for something that I can do 1.2-2.0ohm builds on. I don't think I want a dropper I want something that I can at least put 3-5mls of juice in. I also am looking for something that is easier for a beginner to build on what would you folks recommend? My price range will vary upon the product and what it is however I don't want anything super expensive for my first one incase it's a complete fail. I've heard great things about kayfun but there's so many different kayfun models, clones, etc I'm just not sure which is better.

Thanks for the help! I will be using this tank with a DNA30 device.

Hi
Everybody will suggest a Kayfun Lite pro v2, there are so many tutorials on it on youtube, etc.. most people and myself are pretty happy with Ehpro verison (clone), I have authentic, it performs the same with Ehpro clone. Should be under 35.00 shipped.

I would suggest 28 or 30 gauge kanthal wire.
The article is for "droppers' but you can apply most of it for Kayun and then you can goto youtube, search Kayfun builds, etc.

I'd add a genuine SQuape to the short list of "easy to build"... but the clones can be a bit sketchy for a new rebuilder. I'm not too up on KF clones, having all authentic KFLs and R91%s... but if porkchop thinks the EhPro version is on par with the authentic, then I'll go along with that recommendation.

The two biggest first timer fails with a SvoeMesto KFL type design is too dense a wick (when using cotton) and fit too tight in the coil... loose is good, tight is bad.
The next is a common error, and that's not providing a "gap" between coil and positive deck, of roughly 1.5mm... or 1/16" for the metrically challenged. Side step those three issues, and you'll be OK.

If you get a chance, click on my second sig line hyperlink and read the article, and all linked articles within... they will improve your knowledge base considerably.

Have fun!

The only difference I saw between between an authentic and clone Kayfun was the quality of steel used (authentic feels better) and authentic edges were more smooth out. I think Kayfun clones has been in production so long..they finally got it right.....

BTW..I want a real Squape R...that thing looks dam good tank system.

Thanks guys for your help I'm just wondering if I am doing the right thing by jumping into this. IMO I get great flavor and vapor production from my aspire and aerotank's I just want something I have a little more control over. I bought a 5 pack of bvc coils and I'm just getting sick and tired of them flooding and it starts getting expensive after a while am I doing the right thing by moving over to a kayfun? Also does anyone know if the ehpro kayfun will seat properly on my hana modz v3? That's the other thing I am scared about ordering something online vs. retail.

And there's the reason why so many get into RBAs... control over the quality and performance of the vape.

Yes... but if you haven't clicked on my sigline, do it. You'll be glad you did.

Sure it will... no problems.
Have no fear... we're here to help. ;-)

I just made the jump to rebuildables about a month ago...got a Ehpro KFL+ V2. I had read good things about it here but I was even more impressed with it when I got it...buttery threads, no sloppiness at all. It is a quality piece. For $30! I liked it so much I got another one a week later. Same build quality!

It took me maybe 10 minutes to wrap and mount my (first ever!) coil. The deck is super easy to work on. The wicking is the tricky part though...I'm still perfecting it. But that original coil is still going strong a month later. I obviously can't compare it to any other rebuildable but, as a total noob myself, I can say that the Kayfun is definitely very noob friendly.

How is it comparing your experience with the kayfun to something like an aspire or aerotank that I'm using now? Also where did you order yours from? What will I need to get started? Also my local b&m is selling a kayfun lite v2 except it's a hcigar version is the ehpro better? They want $60 for it and that seems high. Thanks for the help guys.

No worries you are definitely going in the right direction. I would venture a guess that 99% of us that rebuild followed a similar path. Hell we can't all be wrong!

yes the kayfun will work on your hana but I wouldn't go much past 15 unless you modify the atty. seems funny, your a aero tank kind of guy at the moment but have a dna-30 mod?
