I have 55 known things I am allergic to, all pollens. Been that way since I was a little kid. Used to get out of school 1-2 times a week to go get my shots depending on the time of year it was. I have gotten used to taking claritin/zyrtec etc in the morning when I wake up at this time of year plus always having a 2-pack of benadryl on me at all times, just in case.

Yesterday, as i watched the pine trees outside puke up gobs of yellow hellpowder, I realized that I have only taken 1 claritin this year and that was near Easter when I took up vaping. The flowers and trees are popping like mad. There has been rain and sun and wind. I have had to use my washer fluid to clean the yellow crap off my windshield. Yet, I have no symptoms.

It's early June. I should be getting pwned by Mother Nature right now. I'm not saying "Vapin' dun heeled me! Have Mercy!". Just wondering if others have experienced this or am I just really lucky.

i hate you.....

This year has been the worst I can remember as far as seasonal allergies go.

The other day I tried claritin, zytrec, allegra, chloraseptic allergy block gel, and dimetapp before settling on benadryl. One didn't do anything, so I took 2 more 4 hours later. I literally had snot dripping out of my nose every 2 or 3 minutes, even with repeated blowing. Ended up passing out for the night. But when I woke up, allergies were better, so mission accomplished. I literally had snot dripping out of my nose every 2 or 3 minutes, even with repeated blowing.

Sometimes I want to take a shotgun to my sinus cavity

but congrats on not suffering this year! I can only imagine how amazing that must be

This has been a horrible year for my allergies, too. One of the worst I can remember, in fact. The frustrating part for me is that they're so bad, I cannot vape at all early in the morning from all of the nasal blockage and throat drainage...all I do is cough. I've upped my Allegra to a higher dose, gargle with salt water, and use a saline nose spray. While these seem to help somewhat, I'm actually sittin' here in Wisconsin praying for the first frost! Living smack-dab in the middle of a heavy woods doesn't help things, either.

Might not be common, but no you are not unique. I've taken allergy meds for my entire life. Most recently, a year ago, I had to take Allgra-120 every day and still had issues with occasional nasal drainage/congestion and hives. I've not taken my Allegra since I started vaping. I thought that once Spring arrived I'd have to take them again ... but no, I'm doing fine without antihistamines. Yay!!

Chingas, Good for you! I have been sort of not going to say anything till corn season is over [that's my worst enemy], but so far I had one sinus infection, for about 4 days, but my dentist said it started from a tooth problem! So....we'll see. But so far I'm better than ever, and this is my 44th "season" since I started smoking! Some days a little uncomfortable, and as others have said, this is the worst season in a long time. But still no meds/decongestants necessary for me.
