Wherefore comes our nicotine?

Does the nicotine in our juices come strictly from the lab? Wondering if I would be misleading anyone by saying they're typically tobacco-free.

DNicotine is a nitrogen-containing chemical - an alkaloid, which is made by several types of plants, including the tobacco plant. Nicotine is also produced synthetically. Nicotiana tabacum, the type of nicotine found in tobacco plants, comes from the nightshade family. Red peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and potatoes are examples of the nightshade family.

Apart from being a substance found in tobacco products, nicotine is also an antiherbivore chemical, specifically for the elimination of insects - it used to be extensively used as an insecticide.

Wherefore comes our nicotine? Many of us are addicts, so it comes for the purpose of consumption.

extracted in India from tobacco products mainly through J&J's worldwide lab network (and others) and distributed to labs for purification like Wizard labs does.
china has extraction plants as well but is considered much lower quality.


read somewhere extraction may start in US soon.

no it wouldnt they do not contain any other chemicals or parts of the tobacco plant, it is pure nicotine being extracted, nothing else. nicotine appears in many plant species with tob being the best source.

be assured when you vape you are not exposing yourself to a tobacco product. same as sugar made from sugar beets, there is no part of the beet in the powder just the sugar molecule
