DON'T GET ME WRONG cancer is an insidious disease and must be defeated however big science related to cancer has become a self serving bureaucracy. Can you imagine if there was a cure announced tomorrow what the economic repercussions would be? Think about the unemployment related to the high priced help in the labs, our "friend" big Pharm. and the medical personnel in the specialty hospitals.

Just a reminder that we are on Team ECF and we are doing remarkably well considering it has been less than a week!
Some can do a little, some can do a lot, but together we can do enormous things!

I have my laptop but also fired up a P4 with 2000 Pro that handles 1 (small) WU every 2 days!

Apparently my netbook and slow htpc are barely enough to get into the running. My netbook's been running for a few days and I'm only at 60% of one unit with it, I just don't have the cpu power for new smangled competitions.

Now that I'm not using all of my computer's processing power for school-related activities, I've signed up. Won't get a badge until I complete a work unit, though.
1st work unit completed just about done # 2. I always use my iPad so I have a computer just sitting there may as well put it to use for a good cause.

UH OH!!!! If it makes it easier on you, I had to drop one of my laptops out of the game. The better half has been using it and can't keep it on her lap. I was thinking it couldn't be that bad until I picked it up... dang....was a good thing she said something I couldn't keep my hand on it in one spot

Yeah, I know.. I've figured out that laptops are not the way to go with this thing. My laptop CPU core temp went up to 91*C the first day I set it up. Needless to say, it's no longer folding.
