Are you still using those same computers?! That would explain why you've fallen over 260,000 points behind me?! :p

Hey man if I am managing to stay in the top 10 then all is good :) I never said I wanted to stay a head of you I just said I wanted to get a head of you which I did :D

It would be great to get more Canucks in there, but I am hardly alone. There are already a few of us in there, and the crazy Green dot has 3rd place locked down pretty tight. Futureshop ran out of Computers and Video cards over the holiday season, but I fully expect to see a resurgence come the new year.. ;)

Can someone walk me through how to maximize my folding capabilities? I'm getting frustrated here, lol.

When I look at the "Work Queue", what exactly does the 'Credit' value mean? I noticed that the last one I had showed a credit value of 500+, however, just as it was completing (turned over to 100%), the credit value dropped to 100something. Also, the one before that, that took days to complete was showing a credit value of over 7000, however, when I look at my updated score, it's still under 5000....this has me very confused. Can someone explain it to me???

ETA: Reposted this over in the thread that Dusty suggested...ugh!

^^ His response is much better than the "Did you try yelling at it?" I was going to post!

The sleep is a big one for sure, and it is based on the client running 27/4 ( its a new time continuum or I was too lazy to go back and fix it but now adding in the joke and explanation has lead me to rethink what was the less lazy choice to do...... )

My clients are folding just fine, I can't get a WU for my GPU (9800GTX+) on my other box. According to logs, there are no WUs available for my GPU. I'm going on the assumption that there are no WUs available that can complete within the time limit on this card.

edit: Nevermind, I just found out that GPU folding isn't supported (or rather, there are no WUs yet) under Linux. Oh well, time to fire up WINE and run the emulated Windows client.

Holy crap, have my laptop lifted up, to let some air under it. It's running pretty hot. Should I turn the folding off. It seemed to help a bit when I vented some of the heat.

Laptops just do not have the cooling capabilities to run 24x7. I've had the processor cores on my laptop go up to 90*C in a couple hours of folding. My desktop on the other hand has been folding non-stop since I started around a month ago, and the temperature on that is hovering around 60*C.

I would turn the laptop off and let it cool down, and locate the nearest desktop, even if it's an older PC for your folding needs.
