Sounds like you need to join hands with other vapers in your state, and help battle the evil. I think this calls for some black leather and spiked heels. Maybe bring in the Battle Queen from the Northwest to help fight!

On the serious side the Board of Health in Boston and New Bedford ( 2 cities in Massachusetts) are trying to ban internet sales of e-cigarettes. They'll be voting next month.

I'm not sure how this will be enforced but I think this will be a precursor to the state banning sales in the future.

I may have to learn how to mod after all!!!!8-o8-o I'm about as mechanically inclined as a rock. I really really need to find a beginners guide to modding.

NYC was the one that started sending people tax bills. They raised the taxes "to discourage people from smoking, the revenue had nothing to do with it" and then noticed the drop in revenue. So they started suing the big mail-order companies to get the names of their buyers.

Like you, one of the things that keeps me from learning to mod is that even the beginner stuff all assumes I know which end of a soldering iron gets hot.

Make sure you sign the White House Petition.
They're only half-way there with 2 weeks to go and, apparently, petitions started after October 3 need 25,000 signatures so it will be even harder if they have to do it again.


What really annoys me is the justification for all the restrictions on smoking was that second-hand smoke was dangerous to others. There is no second-hand smoke with PVs. The only thing I can figure out is that the justification is that vapers are ex-smokers and therefore deserve to be discriminated against.

Exactly what happened here. Some people got tax bills in the thousands.

The main justification for the law is underage teenagers are using electronic cigarettes.

I'm VERY uneasy about fooling around with something that might blow up in my face.
