Yup, the Rhode Island version is made with cream, not tomatoes. I loved it, but I can't eat dairy products any more, so I have to eat the other kind.

I love sea food. In my younger days, I would go to Galilee, which is a fishing port in southern RI. I used to sit on the dock and watch the tuna boats come in. The smell of the ocean and fish is something that might repel some people, but I loved it.

I love any beach! The Washington beaches are a little more wild toward the northern end and a little flat on the southern end. I would love to go to the northern tip but hubby only likes the Oregon beaches. So we go every summer to the Oregon coast. We went twice last year and are going in August and September this year. We get beautiful sunsets when it isn't cloudy.

We get the beautiful sunrises !! The North Atlantic is a cold and mean ocean, but I love it. When I was very young, my parents used to take me to a restaurant that had a porch and a nice view of the ocean. Then Hurricane Carol hit in 1954. We went back to that restaurant after the hurricane and I started to go out on the back porch. The waitress stopped me and showed me that the porch was gone and the ocean was a lot closer to the restaurant than it was before.

Pacific Ocean in Oregon isn't exactly warm. There are some hardy kids that will play in it. We get the kite surfers there...they are always fun to watch.
Clam chowder made with tomatos..........yeck.......that's blasphemy!!! Nasty nasty nasty!!! I love most seafood but unfortunately I like it breaded for the most part. I can tear some halibut up!!

Hey! Maybe, if they haven't released Joker by the time we go to the beach, I can bring them some broken sea shell pieces?! Maybe that will entice them to let him go!!

One last comment before I go, Steven King's Dreamcatcher, great movie. "Go away, Mr. Gray".

The only SK book that translated well to the big screen was maybe Christine...... None of his books seem to ever transition well to the movies.......

**I'm not including The Stand in this statement as it was a mini-series and not in theaters. It was actually pretty good.

I love The Stand! It was his best book. And Christine turned out to be an excellent movie! Carrie was pretty good too but it was one of the few that I didn't read.

Good point. I forgot about Carrie which also transitioned pretty well.

I'd like to see them make The Long Walk into a movie.

Was that one of his short stories? I read a bunch of those eighty million years ago. My memory is so bad I could read them like it was the first time again...LOL
