One thing we have to remember about Norie is that she is fooled easily. She actually believed that she had real "New England clam chowder" in an Oregon restaurant. Yeah, right.

Jerry, did you read the write up on that chowder in the sea hag menu. It said that many east coasters had tried to make it that good, but failed. Or something like that.

You can't even get real New England clam chowder in restaurants here. They hardly ever make it right.

That's because they never had Chelo's New England clam chowder. People used to line up outside of that restaurant on Fridays just to have a bowl. It's made with real Rhode Island littlenecks, potatoes and cream. Best darn chowdah I ever had.

Do you ever have boiled dinners? With smoked shoulder and vegetables

No I have had ham hocks with cabbage and red potatoes.

Actually they are ours dear. I borrowed them from the castle treasury. :)

Has anyone had fried pickles? I hear good things but haven't tried them.

Sonic used to make fried pickles but I never had any.

Because all this talk is making me hungry.

Just kidding there my little puddin' pop. Don't go all fudgesicle on me. J/K  :wub:

Cabbage does stink up the house, but its not as bad as boiled eggs. Or broiled salmon, now that will funk up the house! I like the cabbage steamed so it retains some of the sweetness.

I looked at the Sea Hag's menu. They call it creamy clam chowder, not New England clam chowder. It looks like there a peas and carrots in there and what is that sludge floating on top ???

There weren't any peas and carrots in it!! BLECK!!! They do put a dab of butter on top. ROFLMAO!!! I don't care what it's called. It's good!
