gosh I could tell stories of when I was a kid and went hunting with him for hours - hes a riot! + makes the best wine...
Geez. I could almost handle that. Its only for the short haul bands though right? I was radio maintenance in the AF. I miss the big HF rigs.

There are only three license classes now Ralph. Technician - can use the UHF/VHF frequencies and the lower end of the 10 meter HF band. General - can use all bands, but not all ham frequencies on those bands. Amateur Extra - can use all of the ham bands and frequencies.
Get the Technician license and I can talk to you on the lower end of the 10 meter band.
Oh, to have my time back. That would be cool. Unfortunately my kids have my time (and money) all tied up.
Would love to get into it though. Somewhere i this house I have several old ARRL handbooks and the antenna manual too. I love reading that kind of stuff. Just too little time to putter around with anything anymore. Course if I gave up this thread... well theres two hours a day!

Yes Fudge. Maybe another 30 min??? Not sure.
ok. I'll start at the feet and work my way north. somewhere in the middle you will catch a second wind.A neck massage would take about 5 seconds, I am exhasuted today.![]()

Sounds like you have a great dad!!!
Edit: The FCC dropped the code requirement for all license classes. No more code tests.
No plans anyway Fudgey. Might as well get paid.
Ralph, Marcus Lieberman runs the New Mexico Mud Ducks chapter of 10-10 International. It's a worldwide organization of hams, who collect "numbers" from other members on the 10 meter band. Marcus lives in Albuquerque. I can get you his address if you are interested in contacting him.
And now i'm doubleposting!
Besides, I would miss you all too much. Awww shucks, and miss My Princess too. ok. I'll start at the feet and work my way north. somewhere in the middle you will catch a second wind.![]()
