How did you guess?

The British press pulled that series of pictures out for a few years every time they wanted to run a story saying he was depressed. It was his day off. He decided to rent a small boat. Some idiot was shoving a camera in his face (there are about a dozen shots, starting on the dock) and, surprise, he wasn't smiling from ear to ear. Proof positive that the depression he suffered 15 or 20 years ago was back.

I saw one where someone took a candid of him on a boat - bigger boat and he looks at the cameraman with a 'oh come on!' look on his face. There's another one where he's being paparazzied? And he takes his own camera out and takes a picture of them Lol. I don't have quick access to that one but you may have already seen it somewhere. It was funny, I thought - he looked in a better mood than the earlier one.

And yes... well 'kinda' .... that an LR can make a 3.7v mod vape like an HV mod but it's just a matter of wattage for both. You can get 10 watts via 3.7v with the right ohms or 10 watts at 5 or 6 volts with the right ohms... There is a slight, imo, difference in amps. Explained fairly well here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/283919-ego-c-twist-vv-43.html#post6481100

That's post #422 -sometimes the link doesn't get you there if you're posts per page is different than the forum default.

And Jane, 'HV' atty/carto is obviously a misnomer (I thnk there was one "LR battery" ) but yeah, they are for use with HV batts/mods and run usually fromo 2.8Ω to 5.2Ω

Sometimes I see 'Clint Eastwood' :)

House Divided. Season 5. Chase's bachelor party and creepy Amber. Good times.

Oh yeah.. :) I really liked Amber - perhaps the closest to House personality wise, although Cuddy could keep up with him... somewhat.

The picture of her getting hit on the bus earlier was a nice piece of cinematography.... not nearly captured as well here:

I'm trying to figure it out because 801 atomizers are disappearing and I like them. Turns out heaven-gifts has 10-packs of the HVs for $16. That's $1.60 each. But why would I buy a higher voltage mod then buy an atomizer that makes it seem like I didn't? Makes no sense.

I haven't seen the one of him taking the photographer's picture. He doesn't like having his picture taken but he accepts it as part of the job. But the main thing is that he has the type of face that, at rest, doesn't look cheerful.

Clint Eastwood is his acting idol. He has seen every Eastwood film "many more times than is healthy." When they were casting House's father, they actually asked him but he turned them down (Hugh said he was very nice -- said he was about to start filming a movie…) It's just as well as it turned out John wasn't House's biological father. Hugh looks so much like him at times, that wouldn't have been believable.

Here a screenshot from the end of Who's Your Daddy? It's my favorite "look at the resemblance" moment.

But in Season 5, it's his hallucination Amber. Her singing "Enjoy Yourself" in Under My Skin was a skin-crawling moment. I love Anne Dudek.

I know the House Divided episode - the tub scene was just one part of that. She was all over the place :) even on his lap... it was creepy. I saw a partial episode of her in another series - didn't interest me - don't even know that name. I'm really choosey on tv shows ;) The first time I saw House - regular season was a show that imo wasn't very good but I didn't know the cast or the 'idea' then - it was the episode with Dave Matthews - probably why I watched it in the first place. I never tuned back in until Scottbee was using the House avi and some mention of the show - so I picked up reruns, then the regular season shows.... now have seen them all ... many times  but I don't have the episode names down - although it's getting better and as I mentioned before, I do very little 'backstage' stuff. I found a few sites with gifs which I've saved out as favorites lately, so I'm posting them. Not everyone enjoys them... Lorikay (LK) on the 'dangerous carto thread'

My response #7623...

I also saw Jennifer/Cameron in a movie that I forced myself to finish to see if it would get any better. I simply couldn't believe what a terrible job she did in it. I concluded that for some... script and direction is everything. There were times in House to where she wasn't a complete bimbo, but sadly, not in that movie - again don't remember the name, you likely know it....

Cool. Didn't know any of that...

On 801's - they were always suited better for HV because the 'normal' ohm range was like 3.4-3.7ohm iirc.... but now they have them in all ranges. I have a bunch of the earlier ones... if I ever find them I'll just send them to you if you want. I had a Janty Stick that ran them - haven't used that in quite a while. Pretty much all eGo all the time now (well - with a reo mini) :)

I had a bunch of 801 atomizers I bought shortly before I became all 501. Then I thought it was a waste -- brand new atomizers -- so I bought an adapter. They are great dripping atties. Mellow and nice and you can put more drops in than in a 501 atomizer but they never seem to leak.

I don't actually need any right now. I have half a dozen. But they are not very popular which makes them expensive and most vendors don't carry them at all. So, when I saw that price… But, if the regular ones are already more suited to HV, seems silly to buy HV ones.

A lot of the episodes in Seasons 7 & 8 are blurred in my mind. I have to look up which was which. But on S1-6 I'm pretty good. Except during Foreman's interminable resignation at the end of S3 (how can we miss you if you don't leave) and during Boreteen (The Thirteen-Foreman relationship. From the minute she entered the clinical trials through when he manipulated the schedule so she'd feel grateful and sleep with him -- her doctor -- through when he broke the double blind, changed her meds and blinded her, I've just blocked that out. I remember the other parts of those episodes, however.)

Yeah.. that was weak.. For all the criticism House took from the peanut gallery, some of the real 'ethics' problems in the show lie elsewhere - for the most part. There were only a few times when I thought House was 'out of order' - everything else, I 'understood'. ;) I didn't like the way he handled the one ambiguously sexed model.

He's complicated. He's rude and crude and certainly politically incorrect. But he has an absolute moral code. There are things he doesn't do, no exception, because they are wrong. The trouble is that his moral code is not necessarily the same as everyone else's.

From Three Stories:
I’m sure this goes against everything you’ve been taught, but right and wrong do exist. Just because you don’t know what the right answer is – maybe there’s even no way you could know what the right answer is – doesn’t make your answer right or even okay. It’s much simpler than that. It’s just plain wrong.

By the way, did you ever notice that the cases are color-coded in that episode? When they are dealing with the volleyball player, Chase, Cameron & Foreman wear reds and oranges. For the farmer they are in blues and greens. (I'm not the one who noticed that.) I also love how the hall is almost empty at the beginning of his lecture. By the end, practically every student in the medical school is there.

New Jersey, by the way, does not have any medical schools in the state.

Actually I did notice the change in colors.... On ethics, Cameron's parting statement (or one of them) points to that as well....

Cameron (having come by where House lives after House fails to give a speech that could have allowed him to keep all three of his students): "You don't need to worry about firing anyone. I'm leaving."
House: "Why? Is this another noble, self-sacrificing gesture? You trying to protect Foreman?"
Cameron: "No."
House: "So this is just, Don't fire me, I quit."
Cameron: "I'm protecting myself. You asked me why I like you. You're abrasive and rude, but I figured everything you do, you do it to help people. But I was wrong. You do it because it's right. There are only two ways I can deal with things. One is in my control. That's to leave. Goodbye, House."

I loved the shot of her walking away... doubt city in her head.... trying to look confident... :)

this is the site for gifs, pics.... you surely have run across it before....

Thanks. I don't go far afield. HHoW (I'm an administrator), Clinic_Duty (I ended up taking over it when the original mods stopped watching the show after S4), HughBunnies, my group of Twitter friends and some LiveJournal communities. Otherwise it's too easy to wander into the ship wars -- we got some of it when Huddy (House/Cuddy) happened in S7. The Cuddy fans were delighted, the House/Wilson fans were unhappy and whatever Cameron fans we still had around were furious. Then, when House drove into Cuddy's house, it got worse. (That, combined with the rise of Twitter, made HHoW very quiet in Season 8. Most of our members value civility so they stopped posting.)

ETA: JMo is not a good actress but she also had to deal with a character whose personality changed every week according to the needs of the script. They didn't do that to the guys.

Yeah... I pick up bits and pieces of those groups. There's one that is almost all Cameron/House... hate Cuddy

I think here - house_walls but not sure. And there's:

House MD Gifs: Archive

I like the earlier one - some 450 pages, many repeats but the widest range of selections - hard to surf though - no 'search' function I could see. That's why I started saving out 'favorites' and renaming them in my 'house md' folder ;) I got quite a few now

I understand what you're saying and actually, I thought she was a pretty good actress, until I saw her in a few other things. That's why I was thinking script and direction was key. And for that matter, Chase was made into somewhat of a bimbo too  BUT.... it's my assessment that in the end, he was closest - ie. learned more than anyone else of House's ways. He didn't reject House as much as the others did. Still, I like that one bit where he 'guessed' the right answer and House nabbed him on it
