lol. Well, I guess we need a delete button that also deletes your comment if it's quoted. After all, people in politics do it all the time :)

I thought the political delete button was Polonium powered not Intel ( world police "we have no intelligence" quote flashback  ) :p

Yes Ocelot and Strangelove I'll have to get used to quoting all the time .
It's like retraining muscle memory after all these years of fora tarting .

The ability to delete a post (which some forums have, and this forum is certainly capable of) would cause havoc on contests with post number winners.
Oh hell yeah. I've participated heavily in another forum where there was a huge chat thread with about 30,000 posts.
And there was always a "thing" about getting the post that rolled over to another thousand.

The moderators were some of the main contributors to the thread, and the shenanigans that followed.
And they would delete posts to tweak things for fun, but then we could also delete posts to tweak things ourselves.

People would often post random junk, so that they could go back and later delete said posts if so desired.

That one-thousand post rollover was ever-shifting, like the sand on a Hawaiian beach.

Yeah, those were good times, talking Padres baseball...
Now I am fighting for much higher causes, like $600 in vaping products.
:D
