UK or US?

The Blu pro UK, is supposed to take eGo thread (the large outer thread) tanks. Maybe they have changed it to a proprietary fitting.

You do know about Blu though, don't you?

UK. the thread on the clearo is on the inside of the part that protrudes if looking into the bottom of it if that makes sense?? there is no thread that should meet up with the batteries thread. I Know blu aren't the best if that is what you mean? I am new to all this so just got a starter kit from the local shop and didn't want to spend too much. I will be upgrading in the near future though.

Thanks for your help!

Oh, UK... nice. :)

The iClear 16 is a skirted 510 fitment. This means it looks as if it threads onto the outer threads on the battery (the eGo thread) but actually, it uses the 510 thread (the small inside thread on batteries that have both).

On the base of the iClear16, there is a ridged band. Look inside - no thread?
So - if your battery has both 510 inside and eGo outside, it will be attaching using the 510.

Innokin call it 510 Threaded w/ EGO Sleeve.

95% of normal eGo batteries (that's the style, not necessarily the exact combination of threads) will take both eGo and 510 clearomisers. Blu might have chosen to use only the outside connection but I thought those batteries also had 510.

I'm going to look into it. (5 minutes.... )

OK, looked into it... here is the comment.
There is no 510 threading, its Ego only so tanks like the ProTank Mini and EVOD 2 will fit...

Now.. BLU...

Blu are a tobacco company. They are supporting the TPD,
Tobacco Products Directive 2014/40/EU.

This is a European Parliament law that regulates e-cigarettes. In 2016, there are currently no e-cigarettes that will pass the regulations, ALL e-cigarettes will be potentially banned, unless some are available as non-medicine products, in which case only liquid under 20mg and tanks under 2ml will be legal.

Blu use readily available components for their e-cigs (made in China). This means whether it is good or bad, you can buy all these parts.
Their tanks £4.99. Bought elsewhere £1.39 from China or £3.49 UK.
Their batteries £9.99. Bought elsewhere £2.85 from China or £6.99 UK.
Liquid £4.99 UK - £1.50.

Anyway, enough on price. They are throwing all other makes of e-cigs off the shelves (Morrisons, Co-op, Corner shops, Petrol stations) so that in 2016, only their products will be on sale, and non-refillable too. This turns vaping from £2 per day into £2,500 per year.

Lastly, they awarded themselves "Product of the year 2015".. based on customer research of normal, everyday shoppers, not experienced e-cig users.

Blu are deliberately going crazy on social media. They are throwing money and time at taking over the e-cig market. It's about being in pole position so next year, they are the only company left standing. They do not want to be selling refillables... they want to make up the money from people who are not buying cigarettes.

So, that's Blu. Tell your friends. PLEASE. :)

Thanks. There is no thread on the ridged band where I would expect the thread to be (ego sleeve). Would a ego to 510 adapter work?

OK wow I didn't know all this. I actually bought it due to the 'product of the year 2015' all over the internet. They sold them in the shop opposite my place so I picked it up as was convenient. Do you have any recommendations for a similar device maybe with a variable voltage? I don't want a huge mod battery or anything just something of similar size.

LOL :)

You see - it's good and bad. Good people are getting into Vaping.. the rest is just so, so sad.

Variable Voltage... you're going to need a "Twist" or "Spinner" or "iTaste VV v.3 or v.4"

Here's a v.3 Innokin iTaste VV V3.0 Express Kit - Batteries & Chargers

here's a Spinner. Vision Spinner

I'd like one of these...

$25.36 Authentic Innokin iTaste CLK 1280 VV 1280mAh Rechargeable Battery - w/ charging cable / brass + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Hi,

I recently bought a innokin i16 clearo for my Blu pro kit battery (ego I believe?) as i wanted more vapour. Problem is it doesn't fit :(. anyone know which adapter I need?

Thanks in advance!
from Blu's site.

"blu Pro Battery
You have two Pro Kit batteries to choose from. There’s the smaller 650mah (70mm) Pro Battery – with an average charge time of 2.5 hours and 900 puffs between charges. And bigger 950mah (90mm) Pro Battery with a 3 hour charge time and epic 1,200 puffs between charges. Both batteries use our “safe-charge” technology. We made the thread of our Pro Kit batteries so they only fit the safe-charge USB charger that comes with your kit. That way, you get just the right voltage to charge your Pro Kit quickly and safely. Zing!"

Zing is right.

they are not standard ego/510 thread.

Which conveniently means only their cartos fit i suppose

The "Pro" eGo battery only has an eGo thread. (As we have found out).

The cartos (I also think) were KR808. This is all deliberate, of course.

JacVapour did the same, they fought off the change from 808 to 510 until they could take it no longer and the reputation was heading for the gutter.

E-Lites kept with RN4081, and still to this day... and Gamucci too. I bought a Gamucci kit on Tuesday, it's terrific, but one has to throw it away or be sucked into paying double for every last accessory or replacement part.
