You might want to try a higher ohm atty. That should cool the vapor and provide less th and more flavor. I use the button to control the heat of the atty. On my 5v Pt with a 2.4 ohm Joye atty, I'll usually hit the button about 2 seconds on a 5 second draw. With an eGo batt, about four seconds. Another thing to consider is vg content. The general consensus seems to be that pg does little or nothing to buffer the irritation of nic, or other ingredients such as alcohol and pepper extract, but vg does. I'm finding that I like a 80/20 ratio of pg to vg on some of my juices. And one last thing, ---very important---stay hydrated!!!! If your throat drys out a little it's going to become irritated much easier. Just a few thoughts and I hope they help.

hibseven - Hit the atty with an voltmeter. Some ego kits shipped with one standard resistance atty and one LR atty. The LR would ohm out at around 1.5 - 2.0ohms. They will give a much stronger hit than a standard atty.

I don't find the LR atty to give more throat hit than the normal atty. I like the LR because the vapor is warmer. The normal atty runs too cool to be effective at all. However the normal cool atty did give me more "throat hit" because more liquid was passing through the atty.
