I'm buying the evic vct mini and need batteries for them. I have coils within 2ohm-1.5 and I've bought .8 to try subohm, but only try. My usul vape will be higher ohm.

The battery needs to be safe, preferably high capacity.

I looked at the ncr18650b 3400mah, but I don't know anything about batteries. I just want to vape (and switchable for future proofing)

GearBest has some good deals on four packs, and I'm trying to spend little money, so preferably from that site (or others if the price is doable + shipping to norway)

This blog will give you some pointers of where to look and what to get

Batteries, another Safety Guide | E-Cigarette Forum

But for your purposes I can already make the suggestions of
The LG HG2 3000mah, 20amp CDR will give you the longest run time on a charge being 60watts and under max output for the VTC Mini
The Samsung 25R 2500mah, 20amp CDR is also a good choice
LG HE2/HE4 2500mah, 20amp CDR
Sony VTC5 2600mah, 20amp CDR
Sony VTC4 2100mah, 20 to 30amp CDR
AW IMR 18650 220mah 20amp CDR
AW IMR 18650 3000mah 20amp CDR

Make sure you buy a good dedicated charger by either Nitecore, Efest LUC, or Xtar, stay away from batteries by Efest, IMRen, MXJO, AWT, and several other brands, when talking vaping batteries, Panasonic, Sony, LG, and Samsung are the main manufacturers, Efest and others are generally re-wrap and over spec false advertisers, AW IMR are re-wraps and never overspec their batteries, generally using A bin grade cells from Panasonic, LG, Samsung, and Sony, but are reliable.

Thank you for the help :)

So this are the ones I should buy? ($12.20 Authentic LG 18650HG2 3.6V 3000mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) (18650HG2, 2-Pack, Unprotected) at m.FastTech.com)

And it's okay to charge through the mod itself?

Charging can be done in the mod for a while, don't get used to it as the only way, a dedicated charger like a Nitecore i2 will charge them properly and have better charging safety mechanisms in place that a lot of onboard charging boards do not have, the i2 can generally be found in the 10 to 15USD price range. And that link to the HG2's are Fasttech, yep them the HG2's you need, even have "Authentic" in the title and by the reviews posted they are so would be safe to purchase.

Alright! :)

Start up costs for a switchable mod is expensive..I may have to split up and buy batteries and charger next month, and the mod this month. At the fast tech's rate of speed, I won't get anything before next year anyway [emoji14]

Ordered packages which still hasn't arrived after a month..

You can use the on board charging of the Evic until you can buy a dedicated charger, just monitor the mod while it is charging the batteries, temp in hand and such. Fasttech shows an EU AC outlet Nitecore i2 for about 15USD, just make sure to make the investment for safety sake is all I am saying ;)

But I figured I can use the on board charger while travelling and the batteries charging outside when home? (I don't travel that much). And yes, I'm all for safety. Don't want to risk a thing. I'll look into fast tech. Found great price on batteries and charger, going to find a better price on the mod some where else :)

Isn't the hg2 an ICR? Not that it would be performing outside it's specs in this configuration, but the other batteries you mentioned were of the safe chemistry variety

Another issue with onboard charging is, you can ruin your mod if you get dirt or something in the charging port. This happened to an SX Mini of mine. Worked great when I was removing the batteries to charge but the second I decided to plug it in one day, it blew the board.

LG INR18650HG2 3000mAh High Discharge Flat Top

Bolded and colored, it is an INR safer chemistry like IMR batteries are. Only ICR I have seen that I personally would consider to use on very high drain application would be the Aspire 18650 battery. Lower end I have used and still use Panasonic NCR18650B batteries in 15watt and below applications due to mAh they have, though they are in the ICR grouping, they are still reliable when used properly.

ahso. my mistake was not reading your post thoroughly, and trusting the retailers' site where I bought them, where they have it inaccurately labeled as ICRs unless I'm completely discombobulated and am looking at two different batteries:
LG ICR18650HG2 - Hi Drain 18650 - 3000mAh
Thanks for the clarification

Why is so?

Bought from fasttech.

Vapez

These places have been known to sell fakes and some are really hard to tell if they are or not. I've bought mods and tanks from fasttech but never will I buy batteries or eliquid. There are a bunch of posts and videos showing how people were sold fake batteries. I just don't see the few dollars possibly saved worth the risk of being hurt or ruining a mod. It's in the end, up to the buyer but if you don't know how to tell real from authentic, it's best to buy from known sources.
