Sorry but I'm new to this and have never herd of steeping so when you steep it helps set the flavor or does the juice smooth with time and when you steep do you just let it set or does it need to be shaken once or twice a day

I'm a bit new myself but I see no one else has answered. All I really know is that it's supposed to make it taste better and you want to leave it in a cool dry place with the cap off for 2 days - 2 weeks. Shake a couple times a day.

    Hey...
...so I'm too new to speak with authority, but I thought to mention that I've understood that leaving the cap off more than a day will allow the nicotine to evaporate. Generally one day w/o a lid is good, and then however long in a dark place w/ lid attached (preferably oin a glass bottle, etc) is good for steeping.
...steeping being the flavors just given time to combine with the pg or vg, blending or whatnot... and that vg will take longer for the flavors to infuse because it is a more dense substance.
...steeping special-to-order blends of flavor being more common because they were just mixed to order, and not as a batch somewhere and allowed to steep while they await the sale...
..at any rate, I hope that helps a bit. (there is probably debate on the lid thing, but to each their own..).. cheers, ~M

I use Johnson Creek Smoke juice. Never steeped it. Good to vape immediately. Quality product. FDA registered. Each bottle comes in amber glass with childproof cap shrink wrapped + dropper cap + small plastic bottle for on-the-go. If you order 3 bottles, they automatically deduct 10% at checkout. Been using their juices for over 1 year now.

    Yep. I'm a fanboy. :)

    Ultrasonic cleaner steeping:

The ultrasonic cleaner (UC) is a device designed to clean jewelry and equally intricate objects. The way it works is, you fill its tank up with water, submerge your objects into it, and it will send out a vibration at ultrasonic frequency which agitates the water. This vibration is of small enough magnitude and high enough frequency that it will make your objects "shake" off dirts and gunks while remaining unscathed. Water molecules will also knock them off at high velocity and thus with much force. Makes sense?

When that kind of agitation happens, water molecules get accelerated, bump into each other harder and more often, thus also creating heat. Therefore, the juices inside the UC will be both heated up and shaken up at ultrasonic frequency. Molecules in juices get super accelerated, moving around more and thus mixing into each other more, which is essentially the purpose of steeping.

Some high school physics there, hope you guys havent forgotten.

As for using the UC to clean cartos: technically, that is possible. However, remember that your carto will be vibrating at extremely high frequency, so magnetic paint jobs on them will flake off almost instantly. I have an atty with matte black finish, after 7 seconds (yes, 7) in the UC, a big patch of black paint flaked off.

Mountain Oak Vapors is an excellent choice, as they quick steep before delivery. They are out of Tennessee and a very organized operation. Brandi and Stephen are top notch when it comes to service and quality. The glass bottles with drippers are a nice touch.
HHV is equally a service oriented and quality juice supplier as I look at steeping is just part of the experience.
Admitting to being a juice snob, or maybe I like quality products, I will choose not to vape the cheap stuff or China's mass juice products.
Oh for the poster that says nicotine evaporates...no there have been several studies and refrigeration seems effect it a bit and only a bit.
