I was really happy today when my new provari and my 5v regulated sabertouch arrived. The problem however is my usual dual coil cartomisers do not work on them. On the provari I get the message that tells me that I need a higher resistance cartomiser. The trouble is I do not understand all the Ohm stuff so I would be really gratefull if someone could point me in the right direction for cartomisers (preferably dual coil) that will work at 5v plus.

You'll have to experiment with ohms on your Sabertouch, I find 3 ohms works well for me at 5v.

With your Provari you can be a more forgiving as you'll be able to adjust it to find your sweet spot. 3ohms would also work well with it and give you the full voltage range, anything 2.5ohms or over should work well with the Provari.

With the provari - you should be able to use your dual coils at low voltage (my Ego Mega Dual Coils register at 1.6 to 1.7 ohms and I'm able to Vape them up to 4v). Unless you have a super-duper-insanely-low-ohm carto (below 1.4ohm), you should be able to use it (albiet at as low as 3.3V).

For higher voltages, I use the ever-popular Boge LRs (single coil) at around 4.3v, 3ohm cartos for high-4v to low 5v vaping, and 5ohms cartos at 6v. Madvapes seems to have the best spread of resistances in their carto selection.

And congrats on your mods! You'll love them! :D Regulated voltage alone is a huge deal (I'm big on consistency).

If your PV's could handle LR (low resistance; ie. 1.6 Ohm DC carto's) you would probably not want to use them at high voltage anyway; I know, a lot of folks like to blast them because they say they are great at high volts - i'm not a DC guy myself but when i have them i use lower voltage.
A non amp limited VV or HV device like the Darwin or Buzz or Infinity Pro will take those puppies and crank them btw.
ProVari has an "amp limiter" for safety reasons and will not take anything less than 1.7 Ohm more or less (as stated, some will fire them at very low volts... ie. 3.4 to 3.9 tops). A standard Boge LR carto is around 2.0 Ohms I believe, and it would be no problem for the Vari.
LR attys and carto's in 1.8 to 2.0 range are fine with the Vari too.
My favorite carto is the Ikenvape Fusion LR. It requires an adapter (510 to 801).
Good luck with the higher resistance DC carto's.

I have used a puresmoker V3.1 6volt since day one and have been trying lots of different cartos. At 6v I find they MUST be 2.8ohms or higher. I have tried then up to 5ohms, which seemed to spit alot of liquid into my mouth, and seemed to plug up quicker. Some up to 3.2ohms (CE2 fluxomizers) burn anything I put in them. At high voltage I find different cartos work very differently with different liquids. You MUST keep them wet or they burn. My all-around favorites are the 3ohm cartos from liquid express. Advice, try as many different ones as you can get your hands on and find your favorite for any given liquid and make your vaping experience the best it can be.

I might be in the minority, but my favorite vape is a Smok 1.5ohm DCC @ 6v. It's just amazing the heat & taste you get from that combo. With the right juice of course, because it's a LOT of wattage. Try any vendor's "Snickerdoodle" with that setup, the cinnamon will bite you back, in a good way.

But as everyone said, on your Provari, you'll need to crank down the voltage to use the DCC's you have, or get some HV/high res cartos.
