Hello everyone,

I've been smoking analogs for the past 17 years (I'm 30) and I've been wanting to quit for a long time. My fiancée is pregnant with twins (I don't smoke around her at all) and cold turkey/ween methods have failed with me. My cousin told me about e-cigs, and I've spent the last day doing tons of research. It sounds like the best method for me to quit analogs (the part i miss the most is the TH and exhale feeling) so I'm going to buy a starter kit.

I know I definitely want a 510 kit, and from researching on this site I've narrowed it down to two different kids. which would you recommend?

The first is the mad vapes 510 Megakit and the second is the mad vapes 510 Manual Battery Kit (I can't post links yet, sorry).

Is there any difference besides the battery and additional charging methods? Is there negatives to the bigger battery?

Thanks

Before you rush out and get a 510 kit, you might do some reading here about the eGo.

Nothing wrong with a 510. I have one and am very happy with it. Except I got tired of charging batteries every 3 hours or so.

The eGo can use either 510 atomizers and cartridges or 510 cartomizers. It give you the same, if not a tad better hit. But the batteries last MUCH longer between charges.

What ever you decide, get a high level of nicotine juice with your kit. Perhpas 28mg. The first 2 weeks of no cigarettes can be a little rocky. The higher nicotine level helps.

Feel free to post any questions you might have and good luck on quitting.

If you're already looking at the mega510, then I'd suggest going that way.

Except for the cone, anything you can screw on an Ego will fit a 510 mega. The Ego does have a larger battery and because of that will go longer between charges.

Go with what you are comfortable with.

The key is the juice. The juice that will work for you. Grab some smaller sizes of strengths. Grab flavors that sound good and also a few that sound weird.

Learning how to vape is fairly easy, and it IS different than smoking. Finding your juice is the rewarding part.

Now on to the rest of the hardware suggestions for your first step...\/

This is Very true. Should have mentioned it myself.

Good Job Hoosier for mentioning it!

A PV is only as good as the juice you put into it. My experience has been that most juice that comes with a starter kit is ok. But there are much better juices or prefilled carts / cartos out there for Vapor, TH and Tatse.

So I went with the standard 510 kit (I was going to get the mega kit but it's out of stock) and 2 10ml bottles of 24mg marlboro, as right now in the first parts of quitting I want to emulate smoking as much as possible for less deterrence.

After the first week or so I will definitely try some flavors, as some of them just sound great!

As far as the eGo, does it still have the problem with the tip caps coming off? I watched a review from TropicalBob on it and it seemed to be a design flaw.

As cheap as vaping is compared to cigarettes (i spend around 150 a month) I don't foresee an issue with getting an eGo later if the design flaw is rectified.
