Hi all,

I got an answer from Isaac. I'd just like to see what others have to say. Particularly any of you who love the Boge LR and found something that Isaac has that give you a similar hit, warmth and vapor. I'd love to get one of his because of all the raves on his quality.

Any and all who switch from a LR to an Ikenvape carto, please let me know. I want to order as soon as his site is back up.

Thanks!!

(Has anybody heard from Isaac? I guess there are problems with the new site? any news?)

I tried the 510 LR megas. Not quite warm enough for me. Great flavor though! (and I don't mind the crackling... that's a beautiful sound. :) It means the Boge is working. It's when they stop crackling that I don't like. And usually too soon.

I can't get to the site, of course, and I'll search around here. But, what are the V2s?

Thanks to both of you!!

Anybody else?

I wish his website was up so I could link you to them.. I was referring to the 510 Gold V2 Cartos. There are 'just' cartos. I'm using them right now on my Darwin...

Hopefully some other fellow IKV groupies can add some more info than I can.. I'm sure they are not too much different from the Boge's, but they might hold more liquid? Again, hopefully some more senior members can chime in..

Here is one thread out of many I've found about them http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/172064-question-about-510-gold-v2-cartomizer.html

Well, the Riva is higher voltage than the eGo. You aren't going to get the same feeling of the Boge cartos with the gold v2 from IKV. Reason being is the gold v2 is 2.5ohms and the LR Boge cartos are 2.0ohm. You may want to look at the beta 901 LR carto. If you do, and once you get them filled properly, they are pretty close at 3.4 (ego) and 3.7 (riva) voltages.

Another thing you could do if you want to branch out and away from the ego style mods - for cheap - is get a 5v pass through from madvapes with 2amp ac adapter. Along with that, then get some v2 gold cartos and it will surpass the Boge on all levels while retaining the "airy" vape of the 510. Actually, if you want to try that I have one that I no longer use (I was lucky enough to grab a Reo Grand from classifieds here). PM me if interested.

I use the LR 510 Megas on my Rivas and my P10. They seem as warm as the LR attys I use to use. I get great taste and vapor production, and no popping/crackling sound like I get from the V2s. I just wish he had the LR megas in silver. Currently I peel off the paper and remove the glue residue with alcohol for the cartos I use on my silver PVs. I haven't tried the 901 LRs yet, but will be ordering some once the site is up and running.

5V PTs are a great alternative. I have one at home and one in my car, and at around $12 apiece they've worked great. My favorite carto for them is the 801 fusion.

I didn't use much of my fusions at 5v. Maybe I'll revisit it when the Little Sister I ordered comes in. That's gonna be my juice testing device lol...

I should add for clarification that my PTs actually run at 4.8V and 4.7V. So with the 801 fussions I'm at around 8 Watts of power. I run them off 5V 2.1 amp usb plugs so there is no drop in power (≈1.8 amps needed).

At true 5V the fussions would give around 9 Watts, which for my favorite juices is too hot.

I've seen someone (can't recall who right now) on here that likes running at over 10 Watts and I can't see how they stand it. Most things I've tried that hot lose most of their flavor and make me start coughing like I just had a lucky strike.
