Hey Vapo, or Mr. Ologist if you prefer. I just got around to doing a wickectomy on this 306. Apparently The wick was nasty. I've got this thing on my Buzz at 5.5 volts now and it IS very nice. I'm getting some very tasty Mocha clouds out of this thing. I think the flavor may be a little better than the 801. This puppy will be my new morning dripper. Thanks for the advise.

Yup! For some reason I found that the 306s will burn wicks really really quick, regardless how careful one is. That is why I remove 'em now, wick only.

Yeah, that's all I did was reach under the bridge and pick out all of the wick fibers. Those little tweezers that come with the Buzz screwdriver kit are very handy for that.
