5.2Ohm is req'd for 7.4/82, also known as XHV vaping. 3.5Ohm will not last long above 6 volts. I guess you found that out all ready.

FWIW 6V with a 3.5 will put out the same as a 5.2 @ 7.4V 10.5 watts. the difference, they last longer. 15 watts, man how is you throat when the sweet spot is between 6-12 watts

perfectly fine, I seem to get the most flavor out it at this wattage being 90%VG/10%PG juice ... Before I forgot to put more drops in the HV306; I was getting 15 hits out of every 5 drops into it... I also de-wick the 306 as well.

One of the DMMs I have has the offset of 0.6 ohm while one is only 0.1 ohm. Just set your DMM to the 200 ohm setting and touch the red and black leads together. Whatever number shows up, you need to deduct it from the reading you get when testing the atty. There could be a significant variance which can make you believe that the atty is 4.5 ohm while in reality it should be 3.5 ohm...

I got my multimeter from isaac. Good price and it does the job. Sometimes the internal resistance varies a bit 4 to 5 so I check it several times when I'm testing several thing at the same time.

Also, I boil all attys and most cartos before first use and test them when they are minus any primer they may come with, are dry, and dry burned if attys. I, too, have gotten higher ohm readings on some of the new atty/cartos I've just gotten from IKV. I'm buggy and fuzzy now, so can't remember which ones but the first semi is higher than it is listed at.

I haven't tried any, yet, above 3.7 volts.

Haven't ordered any HV 306 yet but anxious to try them. I surely do love the LR 306. It's my go to for < 4 volt vaping using any mod 3.7 volt battery.

Not necessary with Isaac's cartos and atties. Dry burning atties = shorter life.

Haven't read through the whole thread. Is anyone else finding this HV 306 to be a bit harsh?

That must be it. I'm topping out at 4.2 volts with it and dripping 4 or 5 drops and getting 6 or 7 hits before it goes hot. My tip must not be fitting very well either cuz things got kinda messy.

That's strange. I'm using the HV306 at 6V and it does not seem to be harsh no matter which juice I use. In fact, it is spectacular at 6V. The HV306 should not be too harsh at 4.2V no matter what. Have you checked it with the DMM to make sure it reads 3.5 ohm? I understand that it says that it's HV but mistakes can happen and you could be using an LR labeled as HV. Just a thought...

Now that is an avatar I likes :) it reminds me of you. No pun intended.

So Switched, judging by YOUR avatars you must be big, white and furry. Cute and cuddly to look at but one of the deadliest beings on the planet. Is that pretty accurate?

Nah! I am cute and cuddly, but a bear nonetheless. If I was to describe myself (which I have done on many occasions) I would describe myself as an easy going no BS guy.

If I was to go to wikipedia and look up vaporologist that would be the picture I would expect of a vaporologist. I always give gut feeling first impression responses, and you nailed it. It is meant as a compliment, a keeper for sure in my books. :)

Ahhh, that makes sense. I really did think you were saying that I look like Borat, LOL

Hey, got my Christmas card from you yesterday. Thanks a lot! But pictures of you vaping while naked were not necessary... :)
