I've settled on a Kayfun Lite Plus clone as my first rebuildable and just need some guidance on which one to go with. I want to smaller Lite version but other than that don't know which to go with. Also need some suggestion on coils. I'm short on time and patience so buying some prebuilt coils. I'll be using an MVP V2 so what Ω should I go with? 1, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0, and 2.2 are offered. I'm leaning towards 1.5 but don't know if that's to low for the MVP or not. I'll be picking up some organic cotton to use for my wicks. I'm impatient so a US vendor or eBay, no fastech. I'd also be interested in a nano kit as well.

Not good traits for Building Tanks

Coils are actually super simple once you get the feels for doing it. Good builds can last for many tank fills. If using cotton wicks, the coil is reusable when re-wicking and can last a few months.

I understand the process but from the reading I've been doing a coil can last from several weeks to months. If I can buy a 6 for $5 and not have to deal with torching, winding, etc. then it seems to be a win win. Just rewick every other tank or so and be good to go. Am I missing something?

If you have gone this far to considering a purchase of a Kayfun ( your choice of size/version) to enhance your vaping experiences, building a coil for it is about as time consuming as finding your keys, getting into your car and starting it.... its easier than you have been conditioned to believe... if you can operate a screw driver and have decient eyesight and 4 fingers that work than you can do it too :)

Getting ready to hit buy now on an Ehpro Kayfun Lite Plus off ebay. Anything else I should consider? I'll get into building could shortly buy want to hit the ground running at the moment.

No pre-built coil is as good as a cotton micro coil so make the effort.

Don't think the MVP would like micro but will be using cotton. Just buying the coil itself, not a complete assembly.

A tube mod will becoming very shortly, my birthday is tomorrow and that's going to my present but have no clue what to buy. Going to be wanting something adjustable in size so a nano mod and short bat can be a compact size but also be able to use bigger battery for longer life. The whole electronic, mechanical, kick conversation is going to take some education. Fasttech is an option here.

I couldn't imagine buying premade coils for a Kayfun.

I doubt you could find something like this that is premade...

I just bought two more from eciggity in gold and black by EHpro with larger air channels. They also have the stainless in that but already have one as well as a Tobecco, HCigar and one with 4 channels that I have no idea who makes it. Every one of them are slightly different but all work great.

Now as for premade coils those that came with them where removed without even trying them. It is simple to build for Kayfuns and will lead to more advanced dripper systems in some cases.

A Russian 91% clone is my daily atomizer. I use tobecco and it works fine, I have heard ehpro is nicer.

A simple microcoil that should work for the kayfun/Russian and mvp combo is 12 wraps of 28a kanthal a1 on an 18ga needle. Install it with the needle still in the coil, slide the needle out. Pulse fire it, squeeze with tweezers, repeat until it glows from the inside out. Should look like a tube with no gaps when you get done. Tests out around 1.4 - 1.5 Ohms. Make sure your wire from the short block (neg terminal) does not touch the big block (positive terminal). Roll a wick from cotton the size of the id of your coil between your hands by gently rolling it back and forth and pulling it a little to get the right thickness and density. Twist the end into a point for threading it through the coil. You want it loose enough in the coil so it slides through without hanging up, but make good contact with the walls. Dont roll it so tight that it feels like a rope, more like the way a piece of yarn feels in between the fingers. Slide your wick in so you have about an inch from each side then trim it. Hold the ends up, put the through the chimney tube, screw on chimney, tuck wick into the sections above juice channels. Dont pack it in be gentle. Prime with juice, test fire, assemble, fill, and vape. Once you do it a few time you can easily build one in less than 5 minutes including dissasembly/install/wicking/reassembly/filling. Sounds complicated, but its not hard, just takes a little practice.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I use cvs sterile 100% rolled cotton and it works great.

I hope you enjoy your new kayfun.
