I'd say steer clear of any junk made of chromed brass. Not that the "quality" is any less, but when that plating wear off anywhere near a heated coil, the brass will emit toxic fumes. That is why food grade stainless steel is an industry standard, because of general safety. From my little knowledge of metals....brass(even navel grade) has nickel in it....a highly toxic metal.

do a google on brass in wikipedia... naval brass is copper/tin
and we get on avg 88ug of Nickel every day from food
and many countries use nickel for coins....
