Which LR atties have the longest life expectancy? Or am I abusing them in my ignorance?

I've been using LR510s and really, really like them. I like the vape, but the short lifespan is quite the downer. I'm getting about 2-3 days before they either die or the production drops off significantly. It could be me - or my juice (Tasty Vapor 80/20 cupcake and the occasional Ms. T's), and I have tried cleaning these things by either blowing out or rinsing and a short dry burn. I'm being sure to keep the atty wet (dripping) and I'm using a GGTS with a 3.7V/880mah Tenergy or a 18650.

The LR atties I've ordered have come from various vendors, but the 510s are Joye and the 901 was... SLB, I think (the 901 lasted only about 3 hours of vaping, even if it was bliss!).

So any recommendations on long-lasting LR atties? Or long-lasting HV atties that will have the feel of an LR without the fragility? I have lots of potential bat configs.

Or maybe on my technique? I give them a rest between puffs, but only enough to let them cool off.

Gosh. I really just want to find a trusty atty (and a trusty cartomizer would be nice, too) that works reliably. I don't expect them to work for months. I'd take a week or two as acceptable. I mean - sometimes I enjoy the hunt, but mostly I just want to find a good, ol' reliable piece of equipment!

Any help is appreciated!

I've have a LR Joye 302 and LR BE112 that I have been alternating for about 5 months. Both are going strong with the flavor and I wash them once a week with warm water and blow out every night. I use cartridges and I'm not what you might call a heavy vaporer though.

I've been using a Joye 1.5 I bought at COV for over a week now in a GGTS with an AW 18650. I've had no problem so far vaping about 60% vg mix mostly with the occasional 20%vg. I've heard more vg can be better for more consistent hits on LR without burning them out so that's why I've been using more of the 60% stuff. I'm new to dripping and LR so I look forward to more input from the more experienced.

i am on week 2 with my cisco atty's i have them in rotation with various flavors, no drop off in performance yet. i clean every couple days with an iso soak, i vape dark juice so my attys get gunked up pretty fast

Try the Cisco 1.5 from avidvaper.com. The first one I ever got is still going strong four months later.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm going to try these Ciscos. I just placed an order for LR 306s from VaporFlow and thought they were Ciscos, but they're not - so my next ones will come from avidvaper. I'm anxious to give these Ciscos a try. They seem to have a reputation for reliability. They seem a little more costly up front, but if they last-long-time, they're the atty for me!

Ikenvape dot com Issac has some great Atty's with a very high QC and all of his are really very good. You will find that keeping your LR Atty's wet all the time is what will make them last much longer than anything along with a high QC BUILD

I'm using a cisco LR 306 from avidvapor myself. I just got 2 of them in about a week ago. I use my clearomizers when I'm out and about, but use the 306's when I'm home on my ego. I was cleaning the one I'm using at night for the first 2 nights, but got tired of repriming every morning so now I'm just blowing it out really well before bed. It's getting broken in now and vaping like a champ. I haven't even opened the 2nd atomizer as this one is going strong and despite my dark juice, still looks new.

Now if i could just save up enough for a Reo Grand, I'll be happy girl *sigh*

I didn't have any luck with the cisco lr306 I bought it died in less then 3 days on my reo grand so I switched to LR 510 eastmall and they have been going strong for over a month on my Reo's and @ 20 bucks for 5 it works for me

I bought 2 306 LRs from cisco and the first one lasted about a week. The second one lasted 3 weeks before I put it away because I got my provari and could use my lovely 510 driptip again. There are so many variables that affect the lifespan. Inconsistant quality (I know some vendors are actively improving the quality of what they stock such as cisco and iken) how dry it gets, whats in the juice, etc. My solution was jumping into Variable Voltage. With VV I can make any atty I have vape like an LR does.

I'm not trying to push a product on you, just offering up my experiences. The 306 LRs are really amazing for dripping on an eGo though if you haven't tried one yet. I highly recomend giving one a try (or two, i got a 2+ driptip deal on avid vaper around new years). It was definately the best experience my eGo has ever offered.

Hey - I just wanted to follow up on this with some updates on what I tried.

I ordered some LR306s from VaporFlow and it turns out they were Joye, not Cisco. I liked them, but haven't found the flavor to be as strong as an LR510. Also ordered another Joye LR510 from VaporFlow and was happy with the performance, etc.

When those two atties started to drop off (after about 2 weeks alternating between 2 306s and 1 510), I placed an order for a Cisco LR 306 and a Cisco LR 510 from avidvaper. The Cisco LR510 was fantastic out of the wrap. Took about 10 puffs to get rid of the funny 'new' taste and it was fantastic from there on out - *great* vapor production, easy draw, and *great* flavor. Love that thing. It is my new favorite. Even after a week of use, it didn't become hard to draw, though eventually it has become hot and dropped off. Nevermind that, though, that thing is my vaping nirvana. Just what I was looking for. I didn't actually get to try the Cisco LR306 (see note below), but the LR510 is exactly what I wanted anyway.

In the meantime, I tried to try the Cisco LR306 and found that it seemed a mm or 2 too small to fit my GGTS. Emailed avidvaper and they immediately sent me another and sent me a prepaid shipping label to send that one back so they could look into the issue. Unfortunately, the second LR306 wouldn't go on the GGTS, either. I emailed them wondering if it was part of a mis-machined batch and to see if the one I sent them back worked - and also asked if I could just get another one of dem-der-dazzling LR510s in exchange if it was a problem with the 306. They said the 306 I sent back worked on their devices, so it must have been the GGTS. I emailed back and apologized and offered to pay for the shipping on the second one and received a notice shortly after that they were sending me an LR510 and to please give the 306 they shipped to someone who could use it because they hated to see it go to waste. Now... I am hesitant to share a review like this because they went above and beyond and it would potentially encourage a less than honest reader (not that we have those on ecf lol, but they are out there somewhere - I'm sure of it) to try to exploit their great service. Or set what I think is an unrealistic standard. But, I decided to share anyway because such great (altruistic, even) service is rare and warrants recognition. On my end, I know I've found a supplier that goes even higher than just and righteous. I mean - they didn't need to send me another atty when it wasn't even their equipment! I'm a loyal fan of their LR510 and their business, now.

I am also impressed with the customer service at Avid. They replaced some atty's I bought from them and the problem could very well have been my fault. I was hesitant to post this for the very same reason that you described but it should be known that they gave me the benifit of the doubt. I placed another order before I got my replacements and haven't had any more problems at all. There are some really good vendors on this forum and Avid is one of the best. I would also like to throw some support toward IKV. This is a company that has the same great customer service as Avid does.

Now your going to make me take apart my GGTS to try the Cisco 306 by itself. I had ordered Cisco 510 to 510 adapter for the 306 to raise it up on the GGTS. the 510 to 510 adapter is great. I will say that one wrong move w/dry burning and bye bye to the atty. Also an atty can last for a few minutes to several months. I still have a Cisco 306 that vapes well from Sept. 2010, I had one also that lasted 5 min. The less cleaning out except blowing them out and letting drain overnight, the better.

IMO there are no other attys that Taste and perform better than Cisco and Ikenvape.

Yes, all my (6) Cisco 306's fit the GGTS and work. - When you say too small, do you mean the threads just would not thread on and sit and spin around?? All brands of attys in the 510, 306 and 801's should screw right on to the GGTS native connection

i haven't had much luck with cisco's 306 attys. they were great while worked but none lasted me more than 2 weeks. heard great things about IKV and got myself 2 of them but didn't get to try em yet. eastmall LR 306 are quite good and I've been alternating 2 of them for more than a month now and they're still going strong.

Yah - they wouldn't catch the threads at all - dropped in and dropped out. seems a couple mm too small to 'catch' - thanks for checking! I wonder what's up with that.

I have 2 Joye LR 510 attys that have been in almost daily rotation since November. They still taste and hit great. I don't really clean them. Maybe syringe some warm distilled water through them every 3-4 weeks. Never tried Cisco or IKV, so I can't compare them.

I'm from the same school of thought. I have lost more attys from cleaning, than while vaping. KISS theory.
