I just ordered a ZAP and an AGA-T2. They will be my first rba's.

I have a Provari but no mechanical mods, and I want to get the full potential of the rba's.

Can you suggest a good solid mechanical? I don't need anything special; I want something I can order now, not wait for a rare device. Preferably less than $100.

There are so many out there it's hard to choose. I hear the ZAP fits well on a Legacy.

IMO you have a great device to get the full potential out of an RBA. A mechanical will allow you to use coils with a resistance below 1.1ohm. They will also limit you to only being able to get a good vape from a super low res coil. With a good vv like what you have you have all sorts of options with different wires and resistance values. Maybe try waiting until you try it on what you have. You might find that all is good. You might find you want a mechanical. Sometimes I like to use a higher res coil with a high number of wraps at a high wattage. It takes a second to get ripping but when it does the vaper production is enormous. I think it would be very hard to get that the same vaper volume and density from a mechanical. Sorry I didn't even come close to answering your original question and I hate when people do that to me. Just had to throw that out there

ProVari a very good option to use.
But mehmod also has its advantages. Most importantly - practical "indestructibility". Of those that are priced below $ 100 check such options

KTS
BOLT
LEGACY

Good Luck!

I really like the looks of the legacy and doesn't seem to be overpriced

Please note that the ZAP is only for ProVari. Or at least the top cover on the form should be as at ProVari.

Yeah, there's a ring below the tank on the ZAP that makes it seamless with the Provari. It won't fit on flat-top mods, but it will fit on other sloped-top (similar in shape to the Provari at the top. Right?

i would say that a mechanical mod at very low resistances will out perform the many wrap, high resistance, high wattage coil in the vv example all day long, and would at the same time be a much smoother vape. running extremely hi volts in a genny, imo is very harsh. but everyone is different, this is just ones opinion. i also like both, i love my vv device and mechanical mod as well. but if one is not into really hi watts and low resistances, then a mechanical mod is not really needed. i do like the occasional massive smooth clouds that a mechanical mod gives, and the simplicity also.

I have a Smok SS Telescope that I picked up new for $40, it does have a very short piece of wire in the head (might function as fuse as well as connecting the 510) that I like real well for them lo res moments.
I also have a Kick(gives me 10 watts) for it but for me it was wasted money as I usually vape at 12 watts and above

yes i always wondered about a kick in a mechanical mod, it just seems to low, its like i said once before, like putting training wheels on a race car.
