I've tried to find something conclusive on naval brass. From what I read, I've come to believe that the term naval brass is about added tin, and is no real indicator of lead content.
There is lead-free naval brass and there is naval brass with lead in it. Unless clearly stated otherwise, I assume no thought has gone into whether or not the brass contains lead.
Thankfully, the
AL-1 description clearly says Lead-Free Naval Brass.
