I've tried to find something conclusive on naval brass. From what I read, I've come to believe that the term naval brass is about added tin, and is no real indicator of lead content.

There is lead-free naval brass and there is naval brass with lead in it. Unless clearly stated otherwise, I assume no thought has gone into whether or not the brass contains lead.

Thankfully, the AL-1 description clearly says Lead-Free Naval Brass.

Edit: Not going for the bezzerwisser awards here. I apologize if it came out that way.

I very much paid attention to the type of brass. They actually tell you it's 464 which is nice because it indicates they know what they are talking about. Although as of right now unless you are in CA (or there material was purchased from there) there can still be a certain amount of lead. With the clean water blah blah act in 2014, lead free in the US basically means 0.25% or less.

I saw a bronze atty on some other site, it didn't say lead free bronze. When people asked they gave the "yeah sure it's lead-free" but never updated the site description. Now they decided to make an SS version. That's not something that would make me feel better. Just tell us what alloy and we can look.

The other thing is that I would guess everything made in china with brass is leaded brass. Same with bronze. It makes them much easier to machine and china atty's are all about cost control. So your brass posts or plated brass...I would not use those. Lead melts much lower than the rest of the metals in brass so leaching is a serious issue from manufacturing to vaping. Heavy metal poisoning is no joke, it's not worth the money saved.

So here are my thoughts on the new genesis rba from Vapinaze. I got this because it was appealing to me for stealthness. It is small lightweight, and built of quality... That was before I got it. When I received this from the mail I was so excited. brought it home I took it upstairs I took it all apart and cleaned all the parts I noticed right away that the threads were very choppy. I also noticed that there was a lot of paint left over still on the 510 connection. I put it together and put it on my Dingo alas it was pretty tricky to get it flush. I had also ordered a little over $50 in replacement parts directly from vapinaze. Well I built a nice coil and filled her up. This is when I found the big problem. That messy paint still coating the bottom of the 510 caused a tremendous voltage drop from 3.701 to 3.29 about 11% ... and it was heating up like crazy. So I had to sand all that exccess paint off to get it firing correctly. It really isn't anything super awsome either. After 2 weeks I had no notice of my replacement parts being shipped but the money was collected by Vapinaze, amd now they will not return my emails after a week. So who knows if I will even see them. Alas I took the atomizer all apart today and noticed that the brass parts are starting to discolor and tarnish BAD. I cant seem to get them clean looking at all. I advise anyone thinking of this atomizer to look elsewhere for this is a troublesome piece of equipment with poor customer service from its manufacturer. Although if you do want one.pm.me I will gladly sell you mine, and a promise of replacement parts if they ever show up. If you want I have pictures of the voltage drops and tarnish if... I have also sent those to vapinaze with again no response at all.
Plus the top cop is wobbky and will not push down flush no matter what. Good luck.

Almost a month still waiting on my replacement tanks from vapinaze... They wont return any of my emails. They suck and thats about it for me and their products. I will probably end up just giving away an $85 atomizer. Mu tank broke so it is useless til I get those parts. Get a RUSSIAN 91% or a kayfun way better vape and their parts are easily found everywhere... Best mod to pair an AL1 with = your trash can ;)
